Come on guys....I'm seeing unusual things in the deepest void, whilst I'm on the brow of the mother of the galaxy, which COULD be the area with the radio signal?....have we run out of tin foil??? :p
Anybody else seen these green orbs? The big neutron field is the only place I've seen them. They are common here, but not every jump.
Also still occasionally seeing the weird pronounced tunnel with extra lights, just before exit in some of these systems.
Are others familiar with these phenomena? Am I space crazy? Or are these things odd? I know it's a loading screen, but that doesnt mean it cant contain info/hints/pointers/clues....?

You’re not going mad, I’ve seen those green orbs. They do seem to be very randomly occurring. Saw some in the areas around COL SECTOR 70 when returning from the Orion Nebula about 1 month ago.

I was stupid and nearly got stuck trying to get back to the bubble in a 24ly partly engineered Python.... Had to back track my route in the end using visited stars.

I live in fear of flying through the RAXXLA system and not spotting it, or even TDW. It’s the stuff of ‘needle in a haystack’ nightmares...

Great thanks. So if you have seen then in COL 70, they are not unique to the neutron field.

There were some F-types, I was searching for large ‘blue light’ stars possibly with BH’s, but didn’t have any Neutrons or White Dwarfs that I remember on the trip.

What I did. Once I had arrived at the Orion Nebula I headed straight up until level with the bubble, then tried to plot a route back to DECIAT. My mistake, as COL SECTOR 70 is all over the place up here, so I had to plot a course back down and find a route back. Took me 8 hours to get back to the Witch Head Nebula....

I did not find Raxxla nor TDW on this trip I’m afraid....,

So from a meta-philosophical bent:cool:... If Raxxla is associated with the Spindle of Necessity... It has the idea of Inexorable Fate associated with it. What can be more descriptive of Inexorable Fate in the Elite Universe than the overarching plan/plot that FD has. And so we spiral towards death... the light at the end of the tunnel being Raxxla. This would explain how we will all make our own paths to it and also the reason no one has "found" it. The epitome of "endgame".. It is inevitable - it will be the singularity, the gate, and the key to a new beginning ?

Has anyone investigated the many zero population federal systems? The alliance and empire do not seem to have them except for detention center systems. One of them happens to be a system that is part of Elite: legacy. Many have economies, but other do not. These sorts of systems (excluding detention centers) seem to be limited to federal space. (I did not do an exhaustive search so i may have missed some in the other super powers.)

Just a few examples (there appears to be many more)

Edit: It is possible what Fdev is pointing to, judging from the many easter eggs ingame, is that Raxxla should be a space somewhere out of time. In a world where time does not exist, then free will is only an illusion. Everything has already happened & Destiny still arrives.

Disclaimer: Not familiar with Plato & the Spindle. I am also an agnostic & maybe absurdist but the idea of predestination still rankles somewhat.

“Raxxla”
