Oh and for those who dont know - and were wondering what happened to all the fuzzy felines of our Galaxy....

MieRDHE.jpg

Guardians of Lioness, a planet populated by chameleon and hybrid creatures, such as this half man half cat being. They were the results of genetic engineering experiments by another race. The other race was wiped out by the Raxxlans.... But their experiments lived on.

So ya - Im thinking the guardians were the Cat People from old Elite

Or the race that created them, the race that was wiped out by their own technological AI known as RAXXLA

THAT is seriously scary!
My cat is now eyeing me with a strange expression in her eyes
could be the catnip, or tea time, or..... taken over by Tharglet?

Is this a good time to mention that the Elite badge was referred to as a "robotic avian" in some of the old (now non-Canon presumably) lore (can't remember where now), and was supposedly the original Galcop logo from their headquarters building? <cough>Guardians</cough>

That would have taken care of those pesky felines.

"...spreading up and across the access in a sweep of majesty, was the
Golden GalCop symbol; RA the Robotic Avian, fixing him with a benign and impregnable stare
from holocast eyes. Above its feathered helm, across the lintel, was the complex title; 'GalCop
Space Licensing Authority'."

I believe they became the Pilots' Federation, or the latter inherited their licensing powers at least (and possibly the logo).

Tianve
Democracy, Rich Ind. Pop. 5.9 B, Prod. 47200 MCr. HC: 9, TL: 14, Blue Bony Felines.
The planet Tianve is reasonably noted for its inhabitants' exceptional loathing of food blenders and Zero-G cricket.

In original elite there were a number of systems whose inhabitants were Felines instead of Humans.... Maybe the Kilrathi are the remains of the Guardians who left before the fall?

Imprint is actually an interesting read, because it seems to try to bridge the gap between the Elite "galaxies" and the rest of human space.
It came with Elite pluss for PC in 1991. This was shortly before the release of FE2. Creating a form of continuity was seemingly a goal for the story.

The story it self, isn't very good.

First thing I thought of was you- Ahhh its that book i always forget and Han Zen usually brings up :ROFLMAO:

I believe the left white image is indeed fan-made (researching where it came from) but the circular graphic at the centre directly references this representation of Pi. To confirm this for yourself, from the centre of the image on the right count the number of dotted segments the line crosses before "stepping" to an outer ring. You should end up with Pi to 9 decimal places. Yes I have far too much time on my hands.

I have seen other Thargoid puzzles showing Pi to 3 decimals which I'm unsure if anyone solved! :D See that below

Perhaps math is involved after all!

EDIT: I think the image on the left is real? The earliest I have seen it referenced is 23rd September 2016 where it appears on this page about the whole Salomé business. Supposedly it's the emblem for the Dark Wheel :/ https://elite-dangerous.fandom.com/wiki/Kahina_Tijani_Loren
Dont forget the orphicus surrounding the logo, unfortunately some of the systems related arnt all in game
