Kinda true. Anything would be a nice gesture. Informations, some ingame toy, something to keep the people emotional engaged with the game in a positive way. Right now in my peer group ED on consoles is tied to purely negative emotions due to the actual situation and feeling second class player.
Like an example, what the EDO delay means for us?
Right NOW (as
@Down To Earth Astronomy stated here:

) the EDO playesr eat up all anarchy systems. So when someday we console players could join EDO, the grind for materials will be MUCH harder. By that time, there will be no anarchy systems anymore, so we console players gdt punished a second time by an intensified grind... Somehow it's always us, who gets slapped in the face: No EDO, from EDO derrived bugs, never a chance to get the cobra IV (at least we on ps4), intensified grind when EDO arrives some day in the future, ...), no new content for ages... and there are more things than the ones mentioned above. E.g. we will have to fly long routes to make a first footstep, since the pc players once again are in big time advantage... etc. We ARE objectively in so many disadvantages. What is FDevs strategy to correct this imbalance between the platforms. Where are our advantages? I can't see any strategy to rectify this.
Mh... sorry to say so, but talking about balancing while one side gets fixes and features and the other gets nothing - in that case the word "balancing" is quite euphemistic, eh? Yes, I know your job is to calm down and sell the people the actual FD strategy. I understand it, but I'm not so happy with this "balance" right now, as written in many long words. Right now, we get only supply with Bugs derrived from EDO, which we don't get (ever/in the foreseeable future). There would be some QOL-Things FDev could give us: e.g. a filter on the system map to only see own and friend's carriers, or a button to directly fill a carrier's fuel tank from its tritium in its cargo storage without having to switch to a ship with big cargo racks, to do so.... see, right now, we are fully on a dead end track. Full stop.
Yeah, but this was the case looooong before EDO. Right before EDO the issuetracker for EDH filled soooo many pages - and so many were returning game/immersion breakers (e.g. the fleeing elite npc anacondas which interdict you again seconds later fully repaired on cargo delivery missions).
Right now, we can't see any measurable criteria. So many of us lack a feeling if we 're talking about weeks, months or years until re-activation of console development. Honest question: How long can you stand a "Please hold the line"-loop, when there is no kind of measurable progress. It's a totally different story when the "please hold the line loop" tells "You are currently on .... third ... place of the waiting list. Please hold the line". So does our IT department in our company. See, the feeling of progress is something, that helps keep people sticking to a thing. Progress is not only needed inside a game - also outside.
