*******Odyssey: Console Release ETA. *******

It's about getting the game good, you know? If the game is good and working and exciting, a byproduct of that is more players will play.
But at what level is it "good"?
We know EDO is bad , we can see how bad it is and we understand that PC has to be fixed , but some have asked the question " at what level is PC good enough ? before looking at console ?" just trying to see if we can get something to look forward too ? not dates or times (i think Fdev are at least 6 months to a year off console release) just a "we are aiming for this before we start work on console" . So we can see the fixes going in and get excited about that as it brings us closer to Fdev working on console .

I'm honestly not going to list out the open issues that make up the foundations of "good" BUT I also entirely understand that some kind of formal breakdown of what the focus would be would bring some comfort.
One huge one is obviously making sure people get a well performing game experience with Odyssey which is still continuing to be looked at and fed into with fixes as we move through the PC updates. There are other issues too which are all very much littered around the forums and being picked up that could give that extra cherry on the top.

Yes please tbh anything official would be appreciated, everybody by now knows where the focus is. The singularly focused replies could do with changing though, official posts have been mentioned previously on two occasions and nothing has come from that so far, as were are even unable to be given a reply about them hence why these posts continue to go round and round and round and round and round you get the gist.... I hope 😬

It just feels like it would be used as a big discussion point as part of a thread where players can bring more speculation of their own (much like this thread now).
Really isn't there only speculation because to coin a phrase "there is nothing". With communication majority wise being one way speculation is bound to happen all peeps have got. On console forums if there was no speculation there wouldn't be much to the Xbox or Ps forum's at all.

I get that right now you just want SOMETHING (anything) and we'll keep looking to when we can do that.
Kinda true. Anything would be a nice gesture. Informations, some ingame toy, something to keep the people emotional engaged with the game in a positive way. Right now in my peer group ED on consoles is tied to purely negative emotions due to the actual situation and feeling second class player.

Like an example, what the EDO delay means for us?
Right NOW (as @Down To Earth Astronomy stated here:
Source: https://youtu.be/UE9yUUwRMcE
) the EDO playesr eat up all anarchy systems. So when someday we console players could join EDO, the grind for materials will be MUCH harder. By that time, there will be no anarchy systems anymore, so we console players gdt punished a second time by an intensified grind... Somehow it's always us, who gets slapped in the face: No EDO, from EDO derrived bugs, never a chance to get the cobra IV (at least we on ps4), intensified grind when EDO arrives some day in the future, ...), no new content for ages... and there are more things than the ones mentioned above. E.g. we will have to fly long routes to make a first footstep, since the pc players once again are in big time advantage... etc. We ARE objectively in so many disadvantages. What is FDevs strategy to correct this imbalance between the platforms. Where are our advantages? I can't see any strategy to rectify this.

Quite the balancing act, right? Very aware and determined to focus on both sides of the coin as much as possible.
Mh... sorry to say so, but talking about balancing while one side gets fixes and features and the other gets nothing - in that case the word "balancing" is quite euphemistic, eh? Yes, I know your job is to calm down and sell the people the actual FD strategy. I understand it, but I'm not so happy with this "balance" right now, as written in many long words. Right now, we get only supply with Bugs derrived from EDO, which we don't get (ever/in the foreseeable future). There would be some QOL-Things FDev could give us: e.g. a filter on the system map to only see own and friend's carriers, or a button to directly fill a carrier's fuel tank from its tritium in its cargo storage without having to switch to a ship with big cargo racks, to do so.... see, right now, we are fully on a dead end track. Full stop.

Yeah, but this was the case looooong before EDO. Right before EDO the issuetracker for EDH filled soooo many pages - and so many were returning game/immersion breakers (e.g. the fleeing elite npc anacondas which interdict you again seconds later fully repaired on cargo delivery missions).
Right now, we can't see any measurable criteria. So many of us lack a feeling if we 're talking about weeks, months or years until re-activation of console development. Honest question: How long can you stand a "Please hold the line"-loop, when there is no kind of measurable progress. It's a totally different story when the "please hold the line loop" tells "You are currently on .... third ... place of the waiting list. Please hold the line". So does our IT department in our company. See, the feeling of progress is something, that helps keep people sticking to a thing. Progress is not only needed inside a game - also outside.

It seems to be there is a new roundtable for concern and issues. But I do really hope @sallymorganmoore will read this 😊

Ok honestly, I put my concern and saltiness again beside ( for a moment) I would like to thanks @sallymorganmoore, you are such a great support, at this late time to care about our concern should be really get an memorial in the galaxy, a name for the beacon/system would be like ,,restless sally,, or something else.

really great, thanks in many ways, speaking for myself, I know you would love to give us requested information and all the other stuff. I personally appreciate your involvement. Can't actually sleep without saying that this is so kind and I'm ultra grateful (for the feedback on all fronts).
The lovely stuff is never expected, so really hits hard in the feels when it does. Thank you.

Here for you all, we all truly are.
Good night Commander o7

Yeh the D2EA video is a bit worrying for console players actually and other PC players who have not yet done the grind. I think FDev are probably well aware of this and hopefully some balancing can be done with materials or the way it works.

It's also not green to have to leave a PC or console switched on just to burn notoriety. My utility bills are bad enough as it is. 🙃

Grinding mats at anachies is doing it wrong, as is leaving a PC on to get rid of notoriety. Sounds like DTEA should stick to Star Citizen, as he's giving bad info for EDO ...

Breaking News......
The word Console was mentioned in the community schedule😱 and by a Cm @Zac Cocken. Now the more observant of you will notice it was linked to the words nothing focus and pc. I am still classing this as progress though, within a year we may have a whole paragraph on consoles 😉

Yea, you are doing the best you can under the circumstances, I'm sure you would love to say more if ya could, keep up the good work , girl 😀

After watching yesterday's streaming of the mega-ship interiors, it makes me wonder if it's even worth it. They put so little interest in doing things that it destroys the patience of the players, mvp after mvp that you say: "It's over, there games with real stories and gameplay that I refuse to be fighting the developer for some real content" it is like dealing with a small child.

It's all about prioritization... Emotes would be on the bottom of a my devstack. But... maybe showing other players how much you like their new Arx-bought suit is really really important.

Someone must have set this feature above the so much needed performance fix, which is needed since release...
Or the people who are working on animations and HUD aren't the same who are building the engine.

What do you want? That all the artists, designers etc. simply wait until the engine programmers fixed the issues? Or that they get shifted to another project? That wouldn't make anything faster.
I don't get it. Maybe you simply don't know how video games are created (yeah funny, I know, neither does FDEV apparently...) but that doesn't explain why you (and the others) are so eager to share their ignorance.

So one more time: nobody has set emotes above performance fixes as a priority. The people who are responsible aren't the same. Maybe they aren't even working on the same corridor...

This has all been said to the console players and others before.
