Go to C:/%userprofile%/Saved Games/Frontier Developments/Elite Dangerous/ and you can find station names in files "Journal.xxxxxxx.log" (dont know what xxxxx are for but there are number. I just pick the last file modified).
In the example below, there are 2 keys: "StationName" and "StationType".

PS: it's the first time i use beacons so i'm sorry if used them wrong.
Thanks, that’s what I expected, but the crux of the question is do we get the same information as the nav beacon scan from an fss scan (e.g. if there is no, or damaged, nav beacon)?

No, the nav beacon is much more reliable than FSS, because when i arrive in some systems, some station outposts are not detected (i have to search them with scanner).
As far as i remember, nav beacon always gave all the information of a system. For scanner, u get them too IF it has been well implemented.

46 IDs. Rings and barry centers aren’t counted as bodies.
You're right.
In the log there is a key: "NonBodyCount" "53".
I can't get the count (i added stations, planetary ports, surface installations) and space POI but the count is either too low (with space POI i have 49) or too high.
Does someone know what does it count?

Hi,

I made a complete list of bodies in the Sol system. This was done by scanning the nav. beacon and taking the data from the Journal log file.

Interesting to see that asteroid belts and planet rings are the same thing.
As you can see there are some bodyIDs missing. BodyID: 6 seem to be the asteroid belt (between Mars and Jupiter). BodyIDs 8, 14, 23 and 29 correspond to the rings of the Gas giants.

BodyID: 21 is unknown. It's an orbit between Saturn and Uranus. It could be the fabeled Halley's comet? I would have to do a similar check in Pareco, to get a better idea on how the comets are implemented.
Can anyone explain the blank spaces for bodies 6, 8, 14, 21, 23, 29 ?

It was below the table ;)

I never understood why people want to let off fireworks and build bonfires to celebrate a failure to blow up politicians...
True.

It’s institutionalised propaganda.

I have 1 small idea in mind for couple weeks...
...there are "void hearts" in Galaxy, and it was found only in 1 place so far.
Is it possible there are more similar 1-timers and codex "poetically" describes it?

O7 Cmdrs, following my meandering around a fresh Cmdr profile, as you may have followed it inspired me to throw a few fresh questions at FD about in game mechanisms and how things are intended to work (see Polaris permits).

Below is a confirmation that the ‘old’ Dark Wheel missions (see page 1) are no longer in game.

Of course this is not confirmation of any alternatives, just that those missions are no longer in game. Make of it what you will.

OP updated.

Question: Concerning the Dark Wheel Codex, what new ‘mission providers’ were introduced on that date?

I cannot locate the original release notes (lack of sleep)… and Im looking to explore an assumption.

Assuming the older missions were linked to Raxxla and not just irrelevant fluff; when FD certainly removed them; did the Codex herald in a replacement?

If we presume the older missions were the invite, whatever was introduced along with the Codex could well be the new invite.

The old E/F missions apparently disappeared when rank-locking was removed from missions in 1.5/2.0 update. 1.5 Patch Notes General Fixes/Tweaks Dec 2015 said “Elite/Founder missions are now only available at the Founders World”. Dont have anything on mission providers, perhaps @Zieman might be able to help? Or @Han_Zen?

Edit: is there a way of going back to see the history of factions that operated out of a station?
(I’m assuming you just want to know the factions at Jameson Memorial before & after that time?)

Edit2: when did TDW Codex come out?
