It's quite simple: I want what I paid for. That's what my entitlement is based on.

You already got what you paid for. That was easy, any other stuff you are entitled to? Maybe a nice massage by DBOBE himself?
I'm an Odyssey owner, and I want Horizons 4.0. It's not free for me; I paid to make it possible.
Everything that is available in Horizons 4.0 is also available in Odyssey.
You forgot the Odyssey owners who are entitled to own Horizons 4.0 because Frontier are their slaves and everything Frontier makes is owned by them.
I have Odyssey (and stuck with Horizons (3.8)) and some friends don't and at various points during their journey through the game I've helped them with various things. Now I won't be able to as I suspect Horizon (3.8) and Horizon (4.0) players won't be able to play together.
You can all meet in Horizons 3.8 when you want to play together. Or your friends buy Odyssey and support the development of the game they want to play. A key costs 10€.
Except the other half of the player base.
No, it's some Odyssey owners being upset at not having a launcher for Horizons 4.0!
I can understand it to some point and would hope that FDev enables it, especially for fuel/hull rats, 3rd party developers, squadron leaders, etc. But on the other hand I think that the outrage is as always out of all proportion and not having Horizons 4.0 is probably a non issue for the vast majority.
Have you tried talking to them?
Here's the thing you don't understand: I don't need to justify why I want the things that I paid for. My money contributed to this product, and if client 4.0 can run in Horizons mode, it means I don't need client 3.8 occupying 20 GB on my hard disk any more. Again, THIS IS WHAT I PAID FOR, and the reasons why I want it are none of your business.
They could also just have upgraded all 3.8 PC clients to 4.0 and removed 3.8 entirely on PC!
Funny thing is that now i SHOULD NOT upgrade that secondary account to Odissey if i had a serious commander on that (which i haven't) and wanted to play with some fiends who don't have odissey but still wanted to play in the current line of events (because they basically dropped H3.8 support, so, no, H4.0 is not a "courtesy", it's marketing).
Again, their business strategies are beyond me.
Nah, you didn't pay for it. You paid for Odyssey which is what you got.
Anyway, it's my business as long as you are posting on a public forum. If you don't like that, you can always leave.
