Actually Reading The Fine Manual for this game is likely to be less than helpful as it is usually several years out of date.I'm too impatient to read stuff - too busy working on beer

Yeah. The best manual can be found here...Actually Reading The Fine Manual for this game is likely to be less than helpful as it is usually several years out of date.
You have way more patience than me - I'd never SC that far to map a body: I'd be content with just the "discovery".I'm on my way to map a Class II Gas Giant. As you can see it's quite a long way to travel but for some reason, these are worth 300,000-odd CR which is a lot more than any other gas giant, including the water life and ammonia ones.
Actually I wouldn't have bothered to travel this far in supercruise if this was the only body worth mapping there, but there's also an Ammonia World nearby and those are worth plenty.

I do have my limits and usually don't travel that far, but if I have something else to do whilst travelling, such as watching the snooker (not on till later today though) or listening to my audiobook (it's Wolf Hall at the moment ) and there's stuff there worth mapping, I'll do it. I can also post on this forum whilst travelling. You have way more patience than me - I'd never SC that far to map a body: I'd be content with just the "discovery".

No, I'm back in the bubble nowI do have my limits and usually don't travel that far, but if I have something else to do whilst travelling, such as watching the snooker (not on till later today though) or listening to my audiobook (it's Wolf Hall at the moment ) and there's stuff there worth mapping, I'll do it. Btw Tyres, are you still in Colonia? I'm planning to visit that region after I've been to Temple and might possibly go there, even though it's still quite a long way away. Are there any on-foot combat CZs there? Or stuff I could try scavenging in my (so far) untried Maverick suit? Cheers!
Well the Star Wars tales are set a long long time ago and far far away, so for large enough values of long and far the whole universe was much more tightly packed.I find that the long distance scans are when I get household chores doneGreat time to empty the bins, do some washing up, load the dryer, etc.
Side note, I've been listening to Star Wars the High Republic audiobooks of late. It does make me wish ED had the odd abandoned xeno space station to find! Elite's universe is vast and empty and most directions lead to intergalactic space, where in Star Wars you pick a random direction and smack into a star. They must all be very close together![]()
Yes it does, thanks! Don't know if I'll go that far yet as my other ships are all back in the bubble, but I might...No, I'm back in the bubble now
There certainly are on-foot CZ's in the Colonia area - try this link to find them:

For scavenging, try power-ons where the following is true (use the galmap to find the states):
Guide / Tutorial - No, Support Missions are not missing
Support missions (Restore Power) require: a faction with a Negative state (see below), and that faction owns an Odyssey Settlement that is offline (because of the negative state), and the missions only spawn from the faction that owns the settlement, and the missions normally will only spawn...forums.frontier.co.uk
Hope that helps!
Yup - Those chores as well. I've already done the bins today though!I find that the long distance scans are when I get household chores doneGreat time to empty the bins, do some washing up, load the dryer, etc.
That's odd. Very odd.Tried to sell the data from my trip to Vista and got crashed to desk when trying to look at the second page before selling,
Again, very, very strange.Go to sell that to Vista and not only do I have a whole page full of stuff to sell but also millions of credits in first findings.
I tried to use the arrows at the bottom of the page and also a control both crashed me out, the arrows looked a little oddly labelled so I am going to check my bindings when I remember. That's odd. Very odd.
How exactly are you getting to the next page? Are you simply waiting for the page to refresh or are you clicking that little arrow at the bottom of the window?
I would be amazed if it was that this computer is new and well speced.Again, very, very strange.
This is a complete guess - but it sure does sound like you're running out of memory or something along those lines.
Is it AMD?that this computer is new and well speced.
No, Intel and Nvidia. Is it AMD?
Oh, nice specs! No, Intel and Nvidia.

I agree. I travel about that distance to deliver some data...Exactly.
I've traveled over 350,000 LS to map a water world.
