Any teamwork driven CMDRs in Valheim?

That didn't go well.
We sailed north to fight the 3rd boss, had to make landfall due to 3 ocean attacks.
Upon landing
deathsquito
kills us both.
Iron armour no match.
So I don temp troll gear, grab the backup boat, head back, same thing occurs upon arrival.
I ragequit again.
Have to make another boat to get my stuff.
I think we're supposed to do mountain level things before heading to plains.

Those are nasty buggers, but very squishy - one arrow takes them out, or you can block them. Their danger comes mostly from surprising you. But you are right, you are supposed to go Swamp -> Mountains -> Plains. Personally I am still in Troll armor (with wolf cape and drake helmet), due to the slower movement speed with heavier armor. It does mean it hurts though when I miss a block. And when I forget to eat that means death then.

Third boss was surprisingly easy, but we were 3, and probably slightly overgeared on average
had poison resit mead, draug-fang bow and frost arrows from the mountains, iron / silver weapons and good food - sausages, lox meat and serpent stew

Found an abandoned tower near Bonemass - did a penthouse conversion, should make for a nice temporary base, good views :)

So far I love the game, but I really miss an undo function. Or what else am I overlooking here? It can't be that you have to destroy whole parts or even a whole building after an unfortunate misplacement, can it?

EDIT
Just found something on Steam forum. Middle mouse button click with hammer equipped should do the trick!
Yes, that is to deconstruct. Not viable for Satisfactory or Factorio levels of arrays but I think normal play does the trick just fine. I always get dwarfed in my factory designs by others, but when I visited the shed of a friend online, he came out with far less space and building.
Just make sure to highlight the part to remove - it's easy to hit the one next to it

Yeah, my issues usually start with dying - last time was right next to a spawn point, so I ended up god-mode-ing myself as it wasn't going to be fun after I lost my main gear and backup gear. I've heard that sneaking in can help, but they always seem to see me. I lost one lot of armour on the edge of a Plains - I haven't gone back for it :)

The 3rd boss is next for me - Bonemass is in a swamp though, not plains. Plains are the 5th biome IIRC, so I'm trying to avoid, but they're not as recognisable as swamps, so it's easy to get caught out.
Meadow - Black Forest - Swamp - Mountain - Plains is the intended curve. And the items you find prepare for the next. Armour is only helpful with the HP pool. If you go in with only 25 HP no armour is gonna save your day. The variable HP mechanic and food supply is a thing that many fail with - it's very easy to forget about food when you fight or build. And the slow HP regeneration. If you realise low HP in mid combat it is usually to late for food intake. Running is the best option - Eikhtyr buff is the 1st for a reason.

Oh and when you want to remove some bigger part, just remove the supports and everything crashes down. Boats can't be deconstructed, you chop them down in shallow water.

Spot on.
If i may add, potions are your friend in Valheim.
Even just a minor health or stamina potion can make the difference between dying and narrowly escaping.

Still haven't found trader. So my other character has to lend some items. Meadows next to the crypt had draugr village with some spawners which got me good stock of entrails and sausages. Now I'm running to and fro with the iron ore and the girdle will help a lot with that. Thanks Uupse. Once cleared I maybe change world and set up new home.

I have only found two crypts in all my travels. I'm wondering if I can hop from world to world with my crypt key and look for better opportunities...
You can, but I'd recommend more exploring - my first 3 swamps gave me 1 crypt, then I hit the motherlode and found one with 7+ (I haven't even mined them all as I got enough iron to fill a longship).

I'm not sure what I think about using the multiverse - I used MoleHDs trick to find the trader (still haven't found him in 'my' world), but I've seen others recommending more extreme things.

The more I start sailing around I see a lot of swamps (whodathunk - they're mostly on coasts :) ). There are also some websites that can show you the map of your world with crypt locations etc - google can find them 'valheim map viewer' - not sure how good they are as I don't want to know (yet) :)

Oh man, I had to do it. But I kept one eye closed :D I took a peek at the map viewer for my seed and, as it turns out, the second place I was going to explore is a massive swamp. Slightly spoilered but I couldn't bear thinking I had a crummy seed to work with. Thx for those links btw 👍

Glad you found a way forward :)

I finally got up the courage to take on Bonemass today - he is tough, but not that tough. A bit of running around his altar while my health recovered and he was done. Now up in the mountains which seem much more forgiving than swamps - I haven't been mobbed or killed yet (🤞 ). I really like the way they've made getting the different metals slightly different, so it doesn't feel quite so much like repeats.

Edit: And of course 10 minutes later I die in the mountains :ROFLMAO:

Funny, both my son and I died last night trying to kill bonemass.
food didn't help, did you have potions?

yeah - poison resist and medium health - most of my running around was waiting for medium health to be available again.

Food was sausages, sea serpent stew and honey - not sure the honey was a good idea, it didn't recover my health fast enough (hence the medium health). Then I just mashed away with the iron mace 🤷‍♀️

Mace, huh? Interesting... oh boney critters go smash. Gotcha.

Today I was so excited, ready for some crypt cleaning, I said goodbye to the piggies, had a big meal of sausages, jam and turnip stew, and set sail off to Big Swamp Island. I found a nice cove to park the Karve in, things were going my way :p

Then I got mobbed by skellies and draugr. I panicked and ran into a leech convention. I whipped out my bag of tricks, and behold, I forgot all my meads. All that came to mind was...

Don't forget your limpets.

Headed back to my deathpoint, naked in the rain, attempting the cross the ocean on a raft, I was a hor d'oeuvre for a sea serpent. It looked like the serpent used the raft for toothpicks when he was done.

I am so glad I back up my files now

Super confirmed. Although Free Will is a thing. Don't look it up and you'll be scum free.

It mainly started because worlds and characters vanish. I mean POOF gone. I think it has something to do with the server end as I haven't had any of my files get messed up since I stopped running the Valheim Server app. But I just don't trust this game, not after looking at the bug tracker.

TBH This is the first time I was a scummer. But man, it saved dayyyyyyys of gameplay. Otherwise I just bite the bullet and rageplay lol

...save scumming is possible but you only spoil yourself as it leads to super boring and grindy gameplay...

I couldn't have said it better. Access to time travel is a heavy responsibility to bear :D

I went back to Big Swampy Island again, brought my limpets, yet still I have to run back nekkid to a tombstone.

This swamp thing I find... unpleasant lol
