Folks, there is no mention of a graphics fix in the first post.
FD are trying hard to resolve the various chronic stability issues that are totally blocking some people from testing the game. They are also trying to ensure that our sessions don't explode spectacularly at random intervals.
I know it would be "nice" if FD were to spend more time and effort backporting their graphics fix from the source they are actually working on into our Beta 2 source tree, but it's a short-term cosmetic issue we know won't be with us for long. We know the date for Beta 3.
I've got the grey-boring-graphics problem too, by the way.
Yes, it's not pretty. It does, however, play perfectly well. It doesn't interfere with any other game mechanic whatsoever. It's not blocking testing. It's NOT critical.
Backports should be for critical issues, and for issues FD
need to get nailed down as a dependency for subsequent work to build from. Every minute spent backporting something cosmetic is a minute taken away from advancing the game, with no benefit to FD whatsoever. And no, "selling the game on YouTube" doesn't count.
So please, just exercise some patience. It'll be sorted in two weeks, when Beta 3 drops. Then you'll have 50 new bugs to deal with.
