The beta is already buggy! I just made a bazillion credits last night, and bought fifteen A-Rated Anacondas and just now loaded up the new beta, and FDev has screeeeewedd me out of them and all my haaaarrrrd work with their dead game, buggy mess! I demand they fix this RIGHT NOW!

No, I don't think it has that effect, normal game should be unaffected.

The launcher will give you the option to select the normal game or the beta. If you're not interested in the beta you don't have to play it. The live version server will stay on.

We can't play the main game while the launcher is busy installing the beta, as far as I know.

No. What you do in the beta stays in the beta and has zero effect outside the beta.
