The TL;DR is that when you're in beta you're using a different character slot, and you can't transfer anything whatsoever between the two. The idea is to test stuff without worrying about consequences, and without giving beta participants any kind of unfair advantage.

So you're saying I can't take anything with me from the beta? ;)

That's not entirely true. I can keep my pain and self loathing (or rather, my excitement and glee! Preferably). :D

One more thing to add to OP if not mentioned already:

- When beta ends and 3.3 goes live, you can just copy the whole beta folder over the live folder and when 3.3 goes live, you dont have to download the whole update.
Launcher then does just the final checkup and downloads the latest changes and youre good to go.

I have done this on every beta and works every time. ;)

I find you don't need to do that. It happens automatically as long as the beta files are still there.

This has been my experience as well, though my sample size is few.

It's roughly 8am there as I'm posting this, and it's not on the launcher yet, in case anyone was wondering.

Nake sure in the launcher it is turned on

I promise, approximately 2.8 minutes after the beta is playable the first threads with those above questions will emerge :D
