I would think that is probably a guess much closer to reality than "scrambled" 3 or 4 weeks ago![]()
Also considering JWE was ready to launch on April when it went into beta...
It just doesn't add up.

Considering the guys & gals who visited on thursday were in there for 6 hours ... that was SOME 3 or 4 weeks work!I would think that is probably a guess much closer to reality than "scrambled" 3 or 4 weeks ago![]()
I think all i can say is: yes, there is a substantial visual upgrade, and it includes lighting.
Yep, I was impressed with the lighting upgrades and the attention to detail of how the lighting interacted in the game environment.

Question is ..... once the dust settles, what will all those Devs be doing next? Did anyone ask ?

That enhancer does not work with the Oculus (or with consoles, I would assume), so if the new lighting system creates that effect in-game for all platforms, then that would already be an improvement for many players.A while ago they showed a stream with some 'enhanced lighting' (can't find it right now, I hope you remember that stream where Adam Woods went into full enthusiasm mode about) for Q4, something not everyone was so happy about as what I've seen didn't look much different from one of the already available and well known saturation enhancer.

Thanks, hope you don't mind when I'll stay on a somewhat skeptic standby about this.
As the avatar shows I am also a VR player, and started the game in Oct 2014 during the beta with a DK2, and did have many questions about everything that was shown when it came to use in VR.
I'm sure some feel that way, but most posters in here seem more disappointed that they simply can't be told what was seen. Many of us would love to know more details about 3.3, and waiting to find out is frustrating. Particularly now because not everyone has to wait, a chosen few have been allowed to know while the rest of us don't. I feel like that's the larger source of angst, not that they weren't invited too.
In a few weeks the information should start flowing from Frontier, hopefully. Still, waiting sucks.
Then we should leave it at that. At least I've dropped some feedback this way about something I hope not to see in Q4. I only see Sarah Jane monitoring this thread right now (Hi Sarah!) and not sure if she is interested in these things. But I hope you talk about everything in your office...

I'm really surprised that the Dev team are influenced by what these YouTubers publish. These guys rarely ever represent what I think about the game and don't seem to have well thought out ideas on most aspects of it. The reason this game is successful is because Braben's a smart guy and assembled a smart team to do what they thought was good. That's why hes got an OBE! The worst aspects of the game have come about by pandering to the outspoken part of the ED community. The silent majority might want the Dev team to ignore these guys and just do what they or the OBE guy think is good.
The Silent Majority thought Richard Nixon was innocent...until the evidence started flowing out. Now, they are even *more* silent.![]()

Thanks Malic. Is there any VR-related info you gleaned that's generic enough to share, or specific to the known additions?
