People are right to be angry, every other company bug fixes as they go. FDEV is maybe the only company I know that thinks this is ok. let's delay already delayed content to fix stuff we should gave been doing for the last 4 years yeah that will please the playerbase. I'm glad to see this communication however it was at a poor time during a massive content drought.Community: Frontier Don't Communicate Enough
Frontier Communicate
Community: RAAAAAAAA I Am angry about this communication!!!
we have made the difficult decision to defer the release of Fleet Carriers
Seeing as they already let it pile up to impossibility, this is too little too lateThis is a well-known concept in IT generally called "technical debt." Ignoring it means it piles up and becomes impossible. So yes, I think for them to stop for a time and take care of some of this technical debt is an excellent idea.
Apple once did a "content freeze" on their OS - I can't remember if it was iOS or Mac OS, in order to spend an entire year fixing stability, bugs, and performance. The result was well worth it IMO.Bug fixing should be ongoing, not at the cost of an extension to a massive content drought
this will continue as long as the community dutifully dances in front of fdev like a little pink poodle, on its hind legs. Thanks FDev! The efficiency with which you have decimated my hopes and dreams can only be described as machiavellian.
There's a mod for that. Oh wait, wrong game!Oh I know, why can't my commander fly naked!! She's the only one in the darn ship!
Yeah I know it will be released on the last days of the deadline, given the fact that you are assuming the fc was planned to released on Dec 31st according to your math. LOLMight want to check your math. Q2 would be 3 to 6 months from the original planned release in December, it would only be 6 monhts if they released them on the absolute last day of Q2.
The game is broken. It needs to be fixed. That's just the facts. At least Frontier is finally adjusting their development practices to hopefully eliminate this level of "brokenness" in the future. Now I agree that the game should never have been allowed to get to this state in the first place, but it has, so you can stick it out till it's back on track or move on to greener pastures. I'm sure Frontier will lose some customers over this, and frankly they deserve that, but this is what needs to be done.this will continue as long as the community dutifully dances in front of fdev like a little pink poodle, on its hind legs.
