I do have to ask this though; you stated that you usually give detailed warning about how you will destroy their ships, then you give up to three warnings. By the time you’ve done that, hasn’t your intended target just simply jumped away? I probably would have left before you finished typing it all out. I only had that happen to me once, in Sol. A player (not you) started to give me such warnings. I just simply jumped out the system whilst he was still typing. If you’re going to shoot, shoot. Don’t just sit there talking about it, was what went through my mind as I jumped.
So one might think. More often than not I kill (non PvP dedicated) ships I encounter. If you want to learn how bad most pilots and builds are taking up ganking.
I also have a wake scanner which is of modest use for the cheeky ones like you who manage to jump.
The longer typing is reserved for docked ships.
Otherwise I'll sometimes sneak a message in right before interdiction since they are often oblivious to the hollows in supercruise.
And then they usually don't submit, which gives me more than enough time to type a quick "HALT OR I OPEN FIRE" in normal space. Usually I follow up with "STOP" in case they really don't know much english, and then once again after blasting their shield and having them basically helpless, to give one final chance.
Realistically long before interdiction they should be looking at every CMDR in their instance. If they are a weak pilot, they should GTFO of town when they see a combat vessel with Z0Z0 squad named ZAREK NULL SECURTY. But most pilots are horrible, whose root cause I see as a combination of in-game training is garbage, most pilots lazy and uninteresting in improving with a falsely exaggerated idea of their own skill, and also some pilots (quite fairly) simply don't want to invest much time in the game.
Even if you don't know who he is, those aren't exactly warm and fuzzy tags that give reassurance you're not about to get murdered.
I also type extremely quickly.
