We weren't intended to get ship discounts? Just outfitting equipment? Or was that also a bug?

Exactly, it is a bit complicated but from various Dev posts, it was explained that the Founder discount was only ever meant to be for equipment but somehow, there was a bug that meant it was displaying for ships too. However, we would be 'correctly' changed the full price for the ship hull. Later, Devs said they would fix the display issue. Most recently, Dev's said they would instead make the discount apply to ship hulls and equipment.
 
there is also NOTHING stopping one from using "Target Panel, Galaxy Map, System map" to see just WHAT kind of station that mission goes too. personally i never taken a mission where i could not land. so there is nothing to fix there IMO other then the affected pilots habits, otherwise, its just a inconvenience issue.

apart from that, little steps at a time, glad to see its being worked on. will see what 1.06 brings.

Have to agree with the poster on this one. Being able to take up a mission requiring you to land at a platform, when you can't land at a platform is just a bit silly - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=95768

The thought of having to duck out of the bulletin board, and off into the galactic map to check if a destination is a station or platform just seems inane. Show a symbol, description, or simply don't offer the mission.

Still no mention of landing pad bug :-(

I wonder if the code for the landing pad stuff was an originally lovely piece of code which ended up with a scary maze of exceptions on top of exceptions on top of exceptions that's a nightmare to debug. It strikes me as the sort of thing that sounds simple but ends up mind-bogglingly fiddly as you realise more special cases that might arise with ships unpredictably entering or leaving an instance. Perhaps they just can't face looking at it again!
 
Each and every time a patch list is posted, we get the same type of reply:

"That's nice, but when will we get...?"

Don't you know the #1 axiom of development?

"As Soon As Possible, But No Sooner."

What I find more interesting is this:

  • FD posts a list of fixes in the patch notes.
  • Someone asks if issue X has been fixed.
  • Issue X is not listed in the patch notes...
 
The patch has broken my client now it just crashed on black screen loading, was playing until the release game files Validation reports no errors.

Looks like I'm going to be downloading the client again on slow Australia internet FUN!

Thanks for the update.

And come on people please stop the moaning about "they haven't done anything about the bugs I think are important to me." What's important to you isn't necessarily important to me or the devs.

The landing pad hologram disappearing bug is something that will be fixed in the next major update.

And does that include refunding those of us the discount, who ended up paying full price instead of the discounted price M.B., or do we just have to lump it.

I'm planning on seeing us trade our ships in for the new discounted price after having previously paid full price for them at Jameson Memorial (expect to lose 8 mill more than normal on my T9 when I upgrade).
That way I can only be pleasantly surprised :D
 
The Nav beacon in Liaedin has disappeared. Is that expected? Seems to be a lot more frequent USS's around the sun though.
 
hmmm any idea why the cursor is now invisible? while using a port terminal display screen? i have to navigate around using my joystick atm, cant just click market etc? also when i alt tab out, it doesn't minimize anymore, but still hangs in the back visible only showing my windows panel bar at the bottom? Do i need to revert some options back in display or somthing?

update: after some testing, seems to work normal in window mode, the cursor is visible, seems to to only disappear when set to fullscreen, although alt tabing is still an issue.

another update, cursor disappeared again after alt tabbin back into game after making this edit. Can only make the cursor reappear by going to grpahic and flicking either to fullscreen, borderless or windowed, and not alt tabbin out, which doesn't minimize in either but stays visible in the back.

Hi everyone,

update 1.05 is incoming. The servers will be closed at 11am GMT to apply the update and will be down for up to 30 minutes. Here is the change log for this update:

- Fixed crash when launching limpets
- Fixed some system meta data mismatches between client and server
- Memory use improvements and fixes on server
- Fix assert when someone manages to select 'declare bankruptcy' button before UI receives proper data from the game
- Optimise mission template list selection
- When switching servers do not disconnect during the transfer
- Added telemetry for when a player dies to help identify cause of death when players explode near stations
- Added further telemetry to trace failed resource loading
- Fix large quantity missions using "light cargo" text
- Fix salavage coms lines
- Correct reputation on abandon branch of pirate missions
- Fix incorrect destination for massacre branch money collection
- Fix salvage mission branching
- Change order of mission contracts in massacre missions
- Change data that is displayed to players in massacre missions

Server Updates:

- Fixed some issues that stopped some Commanders logging into the Companion App
- Stopped wars and civil wars in star systems with only 1 minor faction in that state
- Added ship discount to Founders World
- Various reliability and performance improvements

I know that the information is somewhat redundant from the games perspective but; can we get a update download size added to the announcements. it would be really handy for people who may need to top up pay as you go internet.
