Griefers make open impossible, and how easy the solution is.

Hate to break it to you man, but if interdiction is PvP then even going solo won't stop that...

Let's also ignore that there are several ways to avoid getting interdicted while remaining in the system too. But I guess you think heading straight for a station as a square line up behind you is the way to go...
Lets also ignore that as I enter a system as a player, and I react to another player in a system, that's also PvP. Yeah, lets ignore all that.

Player vs Player does not need to include pew pew pew guys. It simply is playing the game opposed to another player, instead of the environment.
So which one is it?

One of that was repeating a statement in sarcasm. I'll let you decide which
This was me being lost for words.

Then me driving out of the mail slot avoiding a cutter is PvP. Then me having to wait for players to stop hogging landing pads is PvP. Then me assisting another player at guardian ruins is PvP. Then me saying o7 in local is PvP. Then me not getting as many core asteroids are PvP. Note that the last one doesn't require open...

Then you should stop doing anything affecting BGS since you are opposed to PvP. Or be a hypocrite, your choice. Calling it PvEvP doesn't change that by your definition it's PvP.

Me as a player escaping another player is not PvP.

....

You don't hear me complaining about the humanity of it all. I'm very aware what I want is not available to me because of the mechanics of the game.
Then rather than continuing to watch the monkey chase the weasel around the mulberry bush, spell out exactly what your issue is.

There needs to be a vs element. Which in many of your examples is missing.

I am opposed to PvP? Can you quote me? I have nothing against PvP, it just isn't my thing.

And playing the BGS is technically agreed to be PvEvP on these forum, it's playing against another player using the environment. But I am indeed also not playing the BGS.

My point hasn't changed since my first post to you. I'll be happy to redirect you to it, if you forgot about it in all your attempts to obfuscate.

I'm using -your- definition of PvP:
react to another player in a system, that's also PvP.
I also doubt you don't do anything affecting the BGS. It's possible but doubt you specifically only do things in systems where BGS is disabled.

Problem: I want to be in Open, but I don't want to PvP
Solution: BLOCK PvPers :p
I could never block you

Ultimately I only ventured into player piracy to enjoy the rush (which can be had on both sides if people play along) and as proof of concept, especially with the Cobra - it's still vastly more profitable to just go and mine yourself - since you have to wait for victims which can take a little while, then try to extract cargo, which you can only sell at a lower price in a system with a black market - being a pirate is a lot of hassle really! - but it was a fun little detour.
If you are trying to buy a fleet carrier, then yes, mining is really the only way to go. If not...

Right now thanks to Borann, piracy is surprising lucrative relative to non-mining activities. For example, I make more credits pirating per unit time than I do bounty hunting. Since I no longer care about a fleet carrier, piracy is the most lucrative PvP in the game, and it's actually competitive with a lot of PvE as well.

Though ironically, it's the broken mining that makes piracy sustainable, both in regard to volume (number of targets) and value of the loot. Nerfing mining would also nerf piracy IMO.

The BGS is the biggest strawman ever to be erected in an argument. I'm fairly certain most people who cry, "The BGS, the BGS!" couldn't actually care less about the BGS.

Run for your lives! The BGS cometh!
I misread that as BGS comet. The one that signals the end of times.

Also fixed a mistake in your post, you're welcome :p

See, now this is PwP :)
And I would never pirate you ❤
Awww. If I say Please?

Your point should have changed since I established that point is incorrect.

go back and reread if you’ve ignored it in your attempts to obfuscate
