You are using the pid/vid of the xbox controller and not of the virtual joystick provided by vjoy.

also in the joystick tester you are looking at the xbox controller while you should be looking at the virtual joystick.

Just in case anyone is interested, I have modified my VoiceAttack profile for mhwing's Elite-FIP app.

When implemented you can use voice commands to show the App menu, navigate and select menu entries. You can also use voice commands to short cut to directly addressable parts of the app.

Where there is either a long display (system map for example) or multiple side scrollable pages, there are Scroll Down, Right, Left and Up commands where the scrolling can be halted by saying 'Stop' (usually :)).

The new version is attached. Additional requirements are given in an earlier post (page 16 (on my system anyhow).

I'm in the middle of building a 3d-printed custom HOTAS/display panel thing (based on the in-game cockpit), and I'm planning on integrating a 5" cdmi display (with it either linked straight to windows as an external display, or into an raspberry pi). I was wondering, does FIP elite work with generic external screens? I'll have plenty of physical buttons I can bind to FIP for controlling the output etc but will a display windows just set as a regular external monitor work OK for displaying the panel content?
 
You can use a second windows screen, and you can resize the window to match your monitor size but then the layout of the screens may not be optimal anymore.
(you can adjust the css/html, if you want to make font size etc. bigger, but you will have to know about web design)
The application and the screens are optimized for the (small) Logitech panels. The window and joystick functionality is only secondary.
 
Thanks; understandable, and coding not a problem as I'm a graphic designer by profession and I've done some c# etc.
Display I'm looking at is a 4.3" screen with a 800x480 resolution so more than big enough to display the FIP stuff..(I'm replicating the in-game cockpit as close as possible, so this will be the screen that in-game has comms chatter on it, just to the right of the throttle above the palm-rest buttons)

first i wanna thank you so much for this!! I'm using it on 4 panels now since a few months and couldn't imagine Elite without it anymore :D
Now i have a small question. DO you think it would be possible to add somewhere the option to display the version number? It would be great to check this way, if I'm up to date :>

I don't like to put it on a page. space is already at a premium...

But, I could add the current version number to the tooltip on the tray icon, if you'd like ?

You can also always right click the executable and select properties\details to see the version number.

I'm saving the latest version in a directory with the version number, so it's not like i couldn't see it. It was just a question for some luxury lazyness when i'm already fully in the game and than "moment....has there been an update?" xD
no problem if it's not gonna make it in ;) i know that space is very valuable, that's why i've stocked up on the numbers of panels xDDD

I am really impressed with and inspired by your work with this application! I recently had the idea to make something similar, for learning and fun, so being able to see how you've solved certain issues and the features you've implemented is super neat!

This is a bit off-topic, but I recently purchased a set of Logitech G X-56 H.O.T.A.S., and some issue with the LEDs in the stick made me look for an API that might let me adjust the levels for the thrust and stick individually (since they are connected with separate USB connections). Do you happen to know of any developer resources that would be helpful here? I found Logitech Gaming's LED SDK, but the HOTAS aren't in the list of supported devices, so I'm not sure I can use it.

I was thinking I might be able to monitor the USB communication and find some parameters I can use to reverse-engineer it, but I'm not a very experienced programmer, and I've never worked with physical devices before - so I don't know where to begin if I need to do something like this. Do you have any pointers?

I'm sorry for demanding your time. If you have any advice or suggestions I will be grateful, but I absolutely understand if there is more explaining needed than you are willing to spend time and energy on doing. :)
