Lego Asp Scout (UCS minifig 1:96ish scale) update

Just had some lovely Lego appear so a few updates- old camera still garbage :(

Basic frame shape is now sorted out :D

Retractable front x2 smalls (better than FD; the Scout in game clips through itself when the s point doors retract :D )

A shot of the SRV bay just behind the lower cockpit.

A shot through the lower deck where the rear cargo ramp will go. The model will have three decks and I've roughly sorted out the internal layout.

Main thrusters- size is right but might do a new refining pass later on.

Simply stunning Rubbernuke, I have to wonder how big the instruction book would be.....

I've rebuilt this ship about six times now from the ground up learning each time. I'm...I'm really thinking about rebuilding it again soon as there are sections I've built that will never get seen and I want them to be detachable (since they are all fully detailed too- for example the landing leg 'bays' have pressure doors into the cargo deck but are out of sight).

Can you get all the bricks you need in transparent material, if so then you could rebuild out of that and tint some of them for greater definition of purpose.

Yes I know that would probably multiply the costs unfeasibly even if possible, but highly detailed and decorated internals that can never be seen are frustrating, yes large scale Revel Gemini capsule I am thinking of you.

A nice idea, but the I built the ship with each cavity being its own bulkhead- i.e. everything is double sided and even transparent would become opaque. For example- there is the outer double sided skin, inner bulkeads, compartments and then the inner core decks. What I may do is make the lowest deck like a cassette that can be taken out- but, to be truthful the section you can't see is only about twenty studs long so I'm obsessing a bit now :D
