Exactly the same problem here as well. In the Beta it only happened in Career mode, but now it's also happening in the other ones. I updated my graphics driver (also a Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050) as well, but that didn't work for me either. The game runs perfectly besides the blurry animals / textures.
I just wish they'd at least confirm the issue so we know they care :(

I just noticed...My GeForce says Planet Zoo can't be optimized....Could this be the problem? 🧐

And what about your GPU memory?

Yeah this is what I was talking about. If you are playing on a card with say 2gb of vram then it might be auto lowering the settings because there isn't enough vram.
We have more than 2GB like we said so it can't be that then? 🤔

It wouldn't be VRAM, I only have 128MB of Dedicated VRAM and 2176MB total. I took these pictures earlier with Ansel, running on the default Medium settings. I also attached my build specs. My laptop certainly does not hit the recommended settings, and I'm running everything alright. I'd say this is definitely a bug. I made the pictures smaller, so they're a bit blurry, but you can see that all the textures have come in clearly.

also, as far as I know, VRAM is a built in thing, and can't be modified without buying a new card. I don't have 2GB of VRAM, not at all, and I'm running the game well. But, I just checked my task manager, and my GPU is only at around 39% when I'm running PZ. Both of your GPU's are maxed out in those screenshots. I don't know why that would be, though. Are you running the game in windowed or Borderless mode?

i have the same problem, it looks like its a game bug. hopefully there is a fix! or until they patch it or something...

You also aren't running on high settings which is why I suggested to others to try lower settings. Bottom line is yes it may be a game bug for sure. It might also be the game seeing that your settings use more vram than is available and essentially lowers your settings without telling you.

Mine's Fullscreen. Everything is the same in all the screen modes.

and like i said, the animal textures all look exactly the same, no matter what i set ALL graphics to. I can turn everything down to hte lowest, and have texture to medium... still the exact same as if i'd have them set to high.

Yeah I got confused until I just checked it. 😅
yeah i did too.. but like Pixel said and showed above... he's running a lot lower vram than us and his textures look just fine. I'm guessing its something with our specific graphics card because ive see everyone posting about the issue, have the same card as us

There's a little confusion in this thread. VRAM is memory on your GPU and is typically used to render textures in games. You both have a GTX 1050 which has 2GB of VRAM, while it does not meet the recommended requirements for the game, it still meets the minimum. So I'm sure this is a bug that will be fixed. Just ensure your graphic card drivers are up to date, if that does not fix things, then hang tight for Frontier to hopefully fix things :)
