PvP balance big vs small ships

I suggest again that small/medium ships should be nerfed. Experimental effects like feedback cascade or reverberating cascade should be removed or, at least, experimental effects like an area of effect damage for e.g. multicannons should be instituted.

Also, high class sensors like 8A should be more or less immune to chaff and silent running, so that small ships can't just barge in with a thousand DPS double shot fragment cannons (which also should be drastically nerfed) and escape without the chance to get hit - and, no, deselecting or using fixed weapons does not work for big ships against small ships, only the other way around!

I have heard ridiculous statements like that "big ships shouldn't be able to stomp small ships". What's the rational for that? Of course, big ships should be able to stomp small ships!

Formula 1 cars stomp production cars on the race track and heavy weight boxers destroy feather weight boxers etc. and big ships should destroy small ships just as easily as well. And this is not the case right now, at all. Rather the opposite!

I am going to repeat this until something changes.

During most wars the biggest danger to large ships were small mobile attackers carrying big weapons, PT boats, Japanese Kamikazi pilots, Torpedo Bombers, I think there should always be a possibility of a small ship doing serious damage to a large ship but they would need to be specially designed, ie not useful for much else, no cargo space, small jump range, maybe even not able to carry fuel scoops, there would be major trade offs involved in deploying one. Maybe the new carriers coming soon would be able to carry a few. At the same time a big ship should be able to take out a small ship easily if it manages to hit it, the main tactic of small "ship destroyers" would be stealth and manoeuvrability, but PvP balance seems to be the be all and end all of combat these days so I don't know how much traction your ideas will get.

The only issue with that comparison is that these small attackers gained their effectiveness from their numbers. Kamakazis etc swarmed carriers to penetrate their defenses; 30 attacked, 3 got through. The current design allows a single DBX to almost completely nullify the defenses of a large ship, and a second to punch out their power plant. 25 million credits, spread across 2 ships can bring down a 1 billion credit ship.

OP, pestering the devs with the same statement over and over again is unlikely to get the response you're hoping for. Lots of players are unhappy with the current state of the game re: ship balance. FDev are aware, and I imagine their lack of response so far is because balance is an inherently difficult aspect of any game with a competitive element. You want big ships to stomp small ships unequivocally, however lots of people want piloting skill to trump ship price; your positions are mutually exclusive and so anyhing FDev does is going to create unhappy customers. Feedback was specifically added to the game due to people complaining about SCB spam, now you're here complaining about it.

If you're simply going to hold your breath until FDev do what you want, I say bring a pillow; last kid I saw do that ended up smacking their head on a coffee table.
