General Remove private Lobby and single Player

To me this (edit to specity: no shields, weak ship) looks like a you problem.

Edit #2: NPCs are snowflakes, note to FDEVs -> pls make them killing machines so players will start blessing the day they see an hollow square in system.
No, it isn't a problem - it surely indicates a good deal of confidence in their flying ability - all of my exploration ships have good shields, mainly as I tend to use the surface as a brake on too many occasions!
To me it looks like there is no problem at all.
There isn't - only in the perception of those who prefer to shoot first and chat later (if ever) ;)

But ... the feeling when you manage something which you failed before is so much nicer! From my point of view, all the solo-no shield players are missing the best experience that you can hjave in ED! And you CAN master open play, it´s not that hard.

And you can make new friends, I've already met 2 CMDRs in 15mins and greetet them saying o7.

She can do what she wants. The game is like it is.

Open play is a piece of cake - I spend a great deal of my time in open - very rarely see other players either...
There are very few places where any quantity of players are in evidence...

The main point is that other players are entirely optional in the game - and PvP is equally optional, so players choosing how, and with whom, they is entirely their choice - wouldn't you agree.

Does a player somewhere way out in the black, in a paper exploration ship, affect your gameplay?

Which applies to all aspects of the game, not just PvP.

Not all players agree that unwanted combat encounters with other players (who may have carefully selected a target that presents zero risk to themselves and requires zero skill to destroy) offer any more than a tedious and predictable waste of limited game time. To "master open play" requires the inclination to play in Open in the first place - and no player needs to do that to affect the game.

This is not the point. And you lead here to the Open/Solo discussion. You want that hu? :D

No. The point that I´ve made is, that the experience when something can go wrong is very more emotional. Then you also really look into your ship and you learn how to master and you will master such situations. This is a experienced which is so nice.

Some one may still argue "videogames are a waste of time" by principle (unless they provide some kind of IRL income) but apart from that, your sentence sums up what is the "original sin" in the current environment as "no player needs to do that to affect the game". Fine, but what if certain features/activities would have needed to play in open to affect the game?
