Engineers SDC Commences "Operation SpicyBois 2.0"

Come and smile
Don't be shy
Touch my bum
This is life

Uno doi trie si
We are the spicey boys
We are the spicey boys
You are the salty boys
You are the salty boys

Awwww don't mock Zigster, we must all know by now that if you are a PVE player with concerns you are bleeding salt but if you are a PVP player with concerns you are 'addressing important flaws and issues'. At least that's how it looks if you are a PVP'er perched on either of their high horses appropriately named 'Self Importance' or 'Delusions of Grandeur'.

I bet on that horse once.

It came first and was then disqualified.

Can't tell if infuriating or incredibly apt.

Awwww don't say that Stitch I've backed one of them at Ascot, rumour has it that either said horse or all of them have been god roll doped....

I haven't noticed this as an issue in solo or private group. I don't play that much in open is that where the issue is?

Can't tell if you're serious.. but yeah, it's an engineer special effect used by cmdrs, only applies to PvP encounters in open mode.

And the, um, solution (SDC ganking to prove a point), will only exist in open mode too (probably).

All my posts were removed because I was trolling!
My basis for posting was in reaction to what is clearly a troll thread. I can't understand why the whole thread wasn't locked if you can't respond to what is clearly a post about throwing the toys out of the pram.
Good bye.

My god. This got a quicker reply than any issue I've ever seen raised. The spice girls didn't even have time to plug the microphones in. The beige planets, one of the most obvious issues ever created, took months for an official response. SMH....

@Rinzler, hey do you guys think you can do a Powerpuff Girls campaign for some answers on the RNGineer cheat-fleets? Seems you bois are FD's favourites.

Not sure what kind of operation that would be or how it would change anything.

Godrolled ships became standard across almost all PvP groups way back (in 2.1, where only 13th legion was exploiting). I myself own several godrolled ships.
The only thing this exploit does is remove the time-sink required to get one of these ships, but it rarely ever increases their effectiveness over legit godrolled ships.

Each module has its own PvP-community-wide "godroll standard", such as 140% drives, 19% G1 plants, 59% G1 rails, 10%broken+10%regen biweaves, 210% prismatics, 15% resist boosters, 65% HD boosters, etc. Everyone is going to roll enough to get those values regardless, but some decided to cheat the system and achieve them without a time-sink.

I'm not sure what we can do as an operation that addresses this.

To remove the ones achieved by cheating the time sink in the very least. Letting those players that did that keep their cheat fleets undermines the rest of us who slogged away at this horrible mechanic the legit, i.e. stupid way. It's basically two fingers up to over 80% of the legit players while the 10% of cheaters sit back, relax and prepare for the next glitch to be discovered.

At the very most, lobby for RNGineers to be reworked into a much better mechanic with sliders rather than random god rolls or go home.

Just curious, what is 59% G1 rail? 59% heat reduction on G1 sturdy?
Also, is there a list of "godroll standards"? I'm definitely not a PVPer (and never will be one), but I'd like to compare my PVE builds to see what is worth improving.

Just block them and enjoy open without being murdered for silly reasons. This isnt PVP its the kid at the back of the class making fart noises to try and get attention. Feel sorry for them but also block them.

Lets make Open great again. Block away boys block away.

This doesn't personally sit with me. I didn't know the exploit existed until its publication but since then I've been shown some rolls that would have a realistically inviable time sink to achieve legitimately with perhaps not a game-winning, but sizeable benefit.

Mind, that doesn't constitute renovating the engineers by itself. They deserve some refurbishment just because they need it. Removal of secondary effects could IMO fix a lot just on itself - effectively forcing mods to do the job they were meant to do.

Just to clear this up, you're encouraging a communal response using social pressure to achieve a more fair and improved Open Play...

...you and OP might have more in common than you think <3
