I dont know what to expect any more, I was thinking winter will be mountains for sure ahahah and Frontier surprised us again;) Jungle pack would be great for spring with Red River Hog, Lar Gibbon, Coati and more monkeys. Or maybe birds;)
Yeah, it could literally be anything at this point. I'm sure many people thought a grassland/drylands pack would come at some point. But in December? Not so much.

I would be really happy if we would get just animal packs for 2023, but that seems unlikely, so I will put at least one more scenery pack.

Farm/Petting Zoo Pack (after the Arctic and Twilight themes, I belive that Easter would be the next logical step. This could also implement some more background pieces, specially some to build better stables. And even though I would really prefer more wild species, but I still see a lot of people wanting more domestic species and this may also implement some more guest/animal interactions)
  • Silkie chicken (or whatever other chicken)
  • Hare rabbit (I was really unsure which breed/species I would want the most, I would like the European rabbit, but as it isn't a domestic species, it wouldn't make a lot of sense)
  • Scottish highland cow (a cattle breed seems logical and this may be the most recognizable)
  • Pygmy goat (a sheep would make even more sense, but there can't be a petting zoo without goats)
  • Rainbow lorikeet (I'm still struggling with this decision, as it doesn't make a lot of sense with the rest of the pack. But I really want them and this seems to be the best opportunity for their appearance.)

Drylands Animal Pack
  • Collared peccary
  • Greater mara
  • Coquerel's sifaka (I belive the spiny forest is considered to be drylands?)
  • Sulcata tortoise
  • Dromedary
  • Indian crested porcupine
  • Hamadryas baboon
  • Frill-necked lizard

Forest/Woodlands Animals Pack (I didn't want to combine tropical and temperate forests, but
  • Geoffroy's spider monkey
  • Golden lion tamarin
  • Wild boar
  • Mandarin duck (we need waterfowl, this would be my preferred)
  • Green peafowl (wouldn't be my first choice for another galliform, but as we need a reskin, I would be really happy with this one)
  • Tasmanian devil (this is the main reason to make it a general forest pack)
  • North Island brown kiwi
  • Linnaeus two-toed sloth (in the WE, even tough I can see them as a habitat species, I would prefer them in the exhibits)

Highlands Animal Pack
  • Spectacled bear
  • Lesser rhea
  • Mantled colobus
  • Wolverine
  • Takin
  • Himalayan monal
  • Goodfellow's tree kangaroo
  • Kea

I'm still missing a ton of species, specially more waterfowl (pelican, a swan) and groundbirds (a tropical pheasant, guineafowl, the secretary) but I have no clue how to include them. I tried to put the least amount of carnivores, as they already had a lot of attention.

I won't guess themes for future DLC, but the animals I think we're going to see this year include;
  • Tasmanian devil.
  • Wolverine.
  • Dromedary camel.
  • Tree kangaroo.
  • Howler monkey.
  • Hummingbirds OR rainbow lorikeet, possibly both.
  • Kiwi.
I agree with this list. Maybe not so sure about the tree kangaroo as given.

I would add some other animals that i think are very likely to be added before support ends:
  • Ocelot
  • Coati
  • Porcupine!!!
  • Another bear
  • Secretary bird
  • A duck /swan
  • A pelican
  • Another crane (Grey crowned crane most likely)
  • Another "pig": collared peccary and red river hog being the most likely
  • A baboon (hamadryas or gelada or olive)
  • Macaws and toucans/hornbills

THIS is optimism

I just checked right now the charts of the players of every frontier game, and guess what? Planet zoo is the most highest. Technically JWE1 is have 60,296 streams in 5 years and planet zoo have 38,630 in 3 years!

and Let's also talk about the fact that JWE1 have a xbox and ps4 and planet zoo only on pc and Less than half until it overtakes JWE1 so Let's just think what will happen when console and stuff like that will be out and we get dlcs like aviary and aquarium after that planet zoo takes EASILY JWE1 so I definitely do think there is a least another year of support. so let's hope.

Agree, Frontier seemingly "watering down" the DLC with more obscure/filler animals to safe the headliners/requested ones for later, is a pretty safe giveaway that planet zoo isnt going anyway anytime soon :)
