Spring dlc Speculation 2023

On a different topic, when do we think we'll get an announcement? The Grasslands Animal Pack has been out for just over two months, and assuming that the next pack is a scenery pack, my prediction is that we'll get a DLC announcement on March 2, with it and Update 1.13 being released March 14.
I still think we are aiming for late march/early april at the earliest , possibly a march 22 announcement. Outsource_iqa still hasn't been updated on the steamdb so don't get hopes up for a march release yet

I’m of the same opinion. the last third of March to the first half of April. It’s very possible we’re a month away from any update news. Or even a month and a half. I’m patient this time around, knowing this is likely a longer wait time (along with the presumed October pack)

Where do you get all this info? And do you know what is planned for every region?

Kidding, I'm not... It am I?

Seriously, though, here's the link of the plans that the Houston Zoo has:

Africa, Pantanal, and Wetlands already exist (Africa will get expanded later on). Galapagos is around the corner...

I'm at a Central Market, y'all, sitting in an outside eating area watching the pigeons.

Guys, I kinda want pigeons in-game. They're so cute, their bobbing walk, their fluffiness, the colors are pretty.
Ok, maybe y'all don't want feral pigeons, but I want at least 1 pigeon to make it in-game, then we can mod in the rest

There are a lot of pigeon/dove species kept in zoos, so I heartily support this, haha!

That's anazing thanks!

Did they elaborate what animals will be housed in each section?

Keep in mind this is a masterplan, I have yet to see a masterplan that actually happens 100 percent

If they did then I missed it. All I know is what the Galapagos will have, which are Humboldt penguins, California sea lions, reef sharks, sea turtles (I think), Galapagos tortoises, and iguanas.

For the rest, I haven't a clue. Since the Madagascar section is small, I assume fossa and some lemurs, but I'm not sure what else.

Africa I think will be redone to somehow include the cheetahs and the lions that are already at the zoo

It is no guaranteed, but all the dlcs & updates that we have gotten so far that been released in March/April they always released 5 days before the easter:

South America Pack released on the 7 April, 2020 - The easter been on 12 April = 5 days
Southeast Asia Animal Pack released on the 30 March, 2021 - The easter been on 4 April = 5 days

Wetlands Animal Pack released on the 12 April, 2022 - The easter been on 17 April = 5 days

so It's no guaranteed that frontier will continue with this pattern but I think that's when frontier going on vacation, so I'm almost sure that frontier will continue release dlcs in March/April 5 days before the easter.
which it means that the Unknown Pack should launch 5 days before the easter and this year the easter is on 9 April, so the dlc & Update should release on the 4 April = 5 days

so the news should start from the 20 - 24 in march, that's a least what I expect but let's wait & see!

True that, but so far we've gotten everything. The one I'm looking forward to the most is Madagascar, so I hope that the next phase includes that.
I think a big advantage is that the Houston Zoo is the 2nd most visited zoo in the US (2 million per year and ticket sales and memberships add up) so they probably could have the resources to do it. Will they do it? It's not guaranteed

Thanks for this. Honestly, I hope that they do all this. I really do. This zoo has so much history; if I remember correctly, it started off with a bison and a camel.
Actually, the Galapagos was supposed to be in celebration of the zoo centennial for 2022, but COVID likely pushed it back a year...

If y'all are ever passing through Texas, y'all should head over there. I could live there🤣...
I don't care for the Downtown Aquarium, but they do have white tigers, which are cool
