Thargoid Attacks: Where, When and What you can do about it

Mine refused outright to attack or harass anything. And I thought I was a wuss.

I had noticed this and got so cheesed off i jumped in the fighter to do it myself only to find the weapons were turned off for some reason. Ive had no problems since fixing it.

Her weapons were working, she just kept shooting the interceptor. If they didn't take so long to train, she'd be fired for insubordination. She actually finished it off for me as I had take it down to 3%. Had to tank the dang swarm, though which is what she was supposed to keep off of me.

Were any of the stations in the systems when the incursion happened on fire?

A question for anyone who know the mechanics here. As my ship is set up for killing scouts and not interceptors, Is it helping if I kill scouts in an ax CZ, since I kill more that way, or am I better staying in the nhss as I have no choice but to wake out when interceptors turn up (well I do, but my other option is the rebuy screen).

Don't know if by leaving an ax CZ I'm giving the Thargoids a 'win'.

I don't know for sure since I never finished a thargoid CZ that wasn't bugged. I think, however, that the number of kills still tally regardless of whether you finish a round or not. I didn't finish any rounds in Werapana (not that I was the only one there) but we still saved it.

If it's anything like before 3.3, as long as you kill in the right system, every kill counts.

If it only counts when someone finishes one AX CZ, i doubt we could have saved all the systems under incursion the last round.

Thanks for the info. Good to know I'm not making everyone's job harder when incursions do happen. Back to Atlas until the next Galnet update it is then.

Just a general message here, I know in the last incursion site I saw and fought alongside a lot of great commanders in the AX CZs in Jormbu, and I just wanted to give a huge "thank you" to everybody who gave their time to assist. Keeping the bugs out of the bubble is no easy feat, and seeing commanders with no faction ties to the system risk their crew and ships to help out was really spectacular. o7 Right on, commanders, right on.

I have wondered about flying with other Cmdr's that you are not in a wing with at the CZ's. Is there the potential there to steal a kill or does everyone share in the bounties once the Thargoid is killed? Because I tried going in the CZ's alone in PG or solo and it is not really that great. I would really enjoy getting in there with other Cmdr's.

I am sure your aware of mega military Vanguard & Acropolis ships shadowing the Thargiod attack sites.... and for unknown reasons both of these ship are no longer in play.... that's life...

I assume your aware of these replacements....
SAVIOUR QU25 is still in WERPANA.... fair to assume ROSS 596 is a real target.... ship missions is still not working....
BATILLE WS34 was in KUPOL VUH and has gone where...???
WARDEN WG28 was in ***** and has gone where...???
WARLORD AR75 was in ***** and has gone where...???
LIBERATOR VQ37 was in ELECTRA and has gone where...???

A smart player would have left a fuel scoop etc on each ship to track them....
i only tracked 1 the one that didnt move... so who is the clever boy..?

I have been doing the AX CZs in Open and it is really advantageous for me to find instances with other Commanders, even those who are already in a wing. I never complete the AX CZs solo because I'm a bit of a potato. However, as long as you bean the Interceptor, you will get the bounty if with others. Once I was lucky enough to get put in with four incredible human pilots and was basically carried into a Hydra kill. And I did get that 15 million. One thing that might help is to go into the AntiXeno Initiative Discord server which is open to everyone. In the announcements section they may list an order of priority for upcoming AX CZs. You will want to follow that order to increase the likelihood of being put in with the best.

Thanks for the info and letting me know how your experience went. I just did not want to go into open and make anybody mad in the CZ because I did not know terms of engagement with the enemy. But as long as I am not stealing a kill but everybody shares in the kill as long as they take part sounds like a lot of fun. I will check out the discord for AntiXeno Initiative. I just got my discord back up and running so I know they will have a lot of information on their discord.

Well I went through the trouble of selling then rebuying the fighter bay and fighters but my pilot decided she doesn't care what target I send her to, the interceptor is where she's going.

Maybe they changed this behavior on purpose?

Hmmmm...
1. Are you accidentally using the "target highest threat feature?"
2. I heard that it is a possibility that the Thargoids can not only deactivate the mother ship's modules, but also the fighters. I think that's why my SLF pilot didn't attack because the weapons on the fighter were deactivated. I would go into the fighter and check out your right hand panel modules and functions.

Otherwise, I don't know what to advise. It's a real bug if you can't specify which target. That's key!

With my experience, even when there are commanders from multiple factions in a single AX CZ, its almost like it becomes less about who's who and who's getting kills and more about humanity versus the bugs. Sorta becomes just a team effort against the incursion no matter what faction you belong to or your skill level. I've decon'd other commanders and had other commanders decon me, without so much as a comms request.

That is really great. I am glad to see Cmdr's working together to put down the incursions. I will try to find these type of CZ's with other commanders and work together with the team.
