Someone should tell galnet - it still thinks they're going for Witch Head ... maybe if we get one of those systems renamed BullseyeNeeds to be renamed Target-a.
Come Taygeta,It's a message to all of humanity. If we want to survive the Thargoid menace, we have to stop the infighting and all come Taygeta.
Come Taygeta,
Right now,
Over me.
Yes, just completed four Scout missions while, er, assisting with a Hydra kill.Good to see the scout kill missions will accept any scouts - wasn't looking forward to schlepping out 28k ls to get to my mission USS![]()
Great summing up sir, fingers crossed for no1So - this week Eagle Eye is back pointing to 6 uninhabited systems (well, there are plenty of Thargoids, but I mean no humans).
This is .. fine. In-game Eagle Eye was designed to point to Thargoid concentrations, so if they are in those systems then that's a handy indicator that they're not massing for an attack. But what does this mean for the game? The last time this happened Eagle Eye stayed on those systems for 6 months (only detecting attacks again last December). Is this going to happen again?
I can think of a few options:
1) We've been stopping too many infestations, and that doesn't fit fdev's plans (last week we stopped 3, this week 2 - which is why the number of Infestations (with the tasty AX CZ) is down). If fdev want the 'story' to be that humans get removed / reduced in the Pleiades / Witch Head then having attacks repelled / stations repaired doesn't fit. So maybe they plan to only activate the Eagle Eyes a few days before Thargsday so we cannot win against the infestationsAnd of course there is the intriguing HIP 16318 attack - maybe heading for the bubble again
? If the EE change later in the week this might be true (and it fits with Stephen's post about the changed timings).
2) Fdev wanted to test things in AX CZ, they have the data so they're parking the Thargoids for another 6 months. In which case I guess people will carry on looking for changes to EE in vain (like the last 6 month hiatus).
3) It's just broken again. Seems unlikely as normally the EE signals just get jammed and don't change (where this week they did change, just not to nice thargets). The target update mechanism is pretty unreliable, often it has just needed a kick to get things going. In which case EE may well just move next week as if it had not been broken this week.
I'm hoping (1) is the case, and that fdev can persuade Prof Tesreau to make a statement on Galnet - surely by now Aegis have noticed the changes to the EE signals?

Did.... Did stigbob just... Criticise something in the game????Its not the size of the carrot its having to drag it to and from the station twenty to thirty times per required material even in a 700 cargo capacity cutter, one damaged station is a huge task even for a PMF. A solo player would probably need months unless they really did some grinding.
You go from exciting dog fighting against the evil tharguloptic menace to bravely pulling the refugee's out of a burning station to repetitive delivery of umpteen loads of the same old poop from and to the same old places, which frankly is less fun for non-space truckers.
Lower the amounts needed a bit.

FD... there is a serious problem.
They've been working on ax CZs placement after report of CZs happening on top of aegis megaships, it might be worth to find the related bug report and add a comment to it - unfortunately I don't have the link handyLast night I was in Lembas, and I do not know if this is a reported error, but every time I wanted to enter an ax combat from supercruise, I did not get directly, I fall on the signal 600 km or more from the ax area, I had to adjust a lot the fall, is someone else happening?
