9 alerts or wherever the total might end up is going to make Indra fun business for anyone who is still in the Titan clearing activity by then.

Assuming we are even still at the “Deal with the Titans” stage by the time it gets to Indra and/or Cocijo.

HIP 18857

LEBERECHT TEMPEL PORT is about to be lost. Just ran my first rescue of the day and it’s on its death bed, internal damage and heat levels make docking extremely dangerous, not sure how many more runs il get in, think the bugs have this one.

If that weekly Alert amount continues rising, I wonder—perhaps the best approach could be just to let it do that in the meantime. Imagine then turning attention to it after everything within (for example) 40 Ly has become Control, then conducting the biggest expulsion of an entire 10-light-year shell in a single week, possible due to the reduced total strength at each radius. That shell then becomes a sanctuary for a month, during which all Alerts are gone.

During that time, we store dozens of little stockpiles, all targeting different systems within the next shell. At the end of their respite interval, the week just before Alerts would have resumed, deliver it all and knock away another entire shell for another entire month. Continue until at most forty systems remain, after which we can enjoy Alert-free peripheral progress, ten systems per week.

It would be much to ensure Commanders all understand what we are all doing there, but I would not bet against the ability of Commanders to achieve it!

I just checked Oya on the galaxy map and saw a sea of systems in recovery, incredible work you lot! o7

I'm planning on rebuilding the cutter for evacuation and coming to help out when the CG hustle's done. Unless it's bombing time by then, in which case the titan killer Krait is ready to rock!

Ooh question, does helping systems out of recovery have any effect on titan resistance? Pre-CG I was over at Luggerates and AX reactivations became my new favourite thing, I was hoping I was being vaguely useful to the war effort while heisting legitimately salvaging.

Unfortunately not—from our knowledge gained at T. Leigong it became clear that only the Control systems have any direct effect on resistance! That also makes Alert and Invasion systems an indirect benefit to complete unless the Titan explodes that week.

The only effect of helping to complete Recovery systems is to restore all of its ports more quickly, although I noted last year that the Recovery base restoration missions were very popular regardless, and in response I added an explicit list of recovering Control systems to the weekly report. The AX reactivation missions in Control systems could help while collapsing another Maelstrom, but not so much at M. Oya now that most of its progress has to come from Spire sieges, nor indeed without an Alert system from which to obtain the mission!

I'm currently working hip 20056 doing rescue missions from the ground port in a cutter.

What time zone are you in? Perhaps I can come and join to assist.

Or, at the very least, help cover when you're not there.

Did a run at 20056 myself but moved on, thinking I’m going to do some more runs their later today, I’m UK based

We will most likely miss each other, I'm Eastern Time us so I probably won't get on until 6:00 p.m. my time but I'll take some of the runs to help out.

Damaged orbital starports with the Scythes around them are definitely not for the faint-hearted. Alongside them it’s not unlikely for Medusa and Hydra spawns to occur due to the still working defense guns being rather quick to take out the Scythes as they wait for their targets (but you can still blame the Thargoids for making the Scythes move in a highly predictable circular pattern like they are not being shot at).

Also, is anyone else puzzled at the Titans continuing operations as normal, except for the pulling back of Glaives outside of occasional appearances at surface/orbital station assaults? It’s not as if there’s a good reason for them to just… sit there and wait to be turned into nukes.

If it helps to know, INTRA is showing 3.0959% for Warnones! The last update from Lyncis Sector WU-P b5-0 was 3.01%, so some other activity has diverged them a bit. Kanus and Niu Yun are in between those, HIPs 15415 and 10778 last reported around 1.6%, Lhou Mans around 1.2%, and others are not yet visited.

We never did figure out what the Glaives were upto. It rather begs the question 'Where did they go?'
Attacking Titans causes Glaives to withdraw, why?

All samples needed for Niu Yun have been sold to the Carrier [TCIA] Dawn of Sari.
Overall 5536 samples have been gathered. 180 of them have been stored on my Carrier, the [SNPX] Resolute due to a completed demand on the [TCIA] Dawn of Sari.
SNPX is now moving on to do some Spire Site progress.
o7 Cmdrs, glory to mankind

Will update the post momentarily.
Starting Elite for the first time today right now
Edit: 5700 samples on board the [TCIA] Dawn of Sari. The projected demand of 5400 for Niu Yun and the market demand of 5700 are both met.

According to the thing from Frontier I read here on the forums - which I don't recall if it was mirrored in GalNet in the game - the Glaives were withdrawn for Titan defense purposes. Or it was my interpretation thereof anyway.
With the Titans focused on survival, we have noticed that Glaive interdictions and hyperdictions have currently ceased.

They are still among the ships to leave one that is about to meet a fiery end though, if in lesser numbers than Scythes(a - not thoroughly documented and so possibly inaccurate - 3 to 1 ratio for the Scythes vs the Glaives).

Doesn't change... the situation feels a little off.

HIP 20056 just went into control

arrived at Boole installation and it’s still under attack so the thargs haven’t got the message they’ve been defeated yet 😁

managed 2 more runs but just landed for a 3rd and no missions available, though flight control message is still asking for evacuation flights looks like system control has caught up with reality
