Small question: Are irregulary shaped planetoids that common? Or if they were in Horizons at least. I stumbled upon one yesterday that is pretty round in Horizons but in Odyssey is like if a small kid wanted to do a ball with play dough. It wasn't discovered by me (but I'm 99,99% I was the first that went there in Odyssey) and didn't know how common it may be, so I passed on, but if you think it's worth to report it I can go back to it (I think I can because I was specifically looking for that planet).

I'm not sure how common 'potato-looking' worlds are in the galaxy, but as far as the GMP goes there aren't many submissions for them. I can only think of a small handful on the current maps. More of them would be welcome imo, so its definitely worth submitting them for the team to review. Need screenshots though, obviously!

Found one that was almost square (well, cuboid) the other day!
Ok, in a second visit it doesn't seem so unique, but it's not a common planet either. It's more like an old bottle cork, so I'm gonna name it like that just in case it makes it through.

If its got geological activity, like water geysers, you'll be able to launch someone into orbit off that rock

I know a lot of explorers are justifiably disappointed and perhaps upset about the elimination of their discoveries from the game. It saddens me a bit, but I take a lot of comfort in the fact that they are being preserved for posterity thanks to this project and EDSM. We've never needed them more.
There are some very weird space potatoes out there but on a grand scale I think they may be somewhat common. You have a lot of irregularly shaped metal-rich planets around the hotter star types, too, so they may warrant a "baked potato" entry for themselves
It's a good thing most contributors to the GMP made some very cool screenshots and yes, preserving them is the right thing to do. You can someday tell your grandchildren Commanders "Look, lad! It used to be like this!"
In favor of that, would be a reasonable petition to add to the archived POI The Crown of Ice a link to my thread about having climbed it where there's a lot of pictures and information, or simply to the videos on it? The flyby videos and 3d overviews are specially enlightening.

I think its a safe bet that no Horizons surface features will exist in Odyssey.
But as Baxder mentions, we'll keep them archived for posterity, so those who discovered them can still look them up on the maps.

Potato worlds have always been my favorite planetary features. But there's never been many submitted to the GMP. Looks like EDO will generate a variety of different ones, so that may change!
Then we're not sure why its missing. Could be a bug. The Anaconda's Graveyard vanished from time to time too, only to return.
If its not there in Odyssey, we'll probably have to archive it anyway.

Haha, yeah pretty much for the surface feature POIs. Not sure how the stellar features will fair - should be ok, and of course historical POIs will remain unaffected.
