Not added at this time:
- Reptile Point <-- Sag A* is allready there as a historical POI
- The Fox Rings <-- Close to civilized space a POI has to be even more spectacular than otherwise to be accepted
- Torment Prime <-- not that unusual
- All green systems / jumponium-rich systems (due to change to FSD synthesis in Beyond 3.0)
- Name required ( ;) ) <-- we allready list a few of the rare black holes in the Transit.
- Scarred Planet <-- Following 3.0 this will be a common feature

Hey folks,

Looks like you're full to the brim with Neutron Stars, so rather than doing a full submission, can I just ask if this would be of interest:

2 reasons...

1. From the right angle it looks like a bowtie (admittedly a fairly gaudy one).

2. Navigation purposes - it's one of a series of systems with secondary neutron stars which I use to get quickly around the Guardian Ruins area and Synuefe. With the primary and neutron stars being so close, this one effectively works as a scoopable Neutron Star, making it more useful in some ways than a standard Neutron Star.

There are quite a few systems like that one out there, so not special enough to add - still it is a nice find :)

Hi Corbin,

I noticed that the Norma Mission POI have not been included yet [except Glacier Point which was added a long time ago]... was this an oversight or something more intentional?

Map update - reclassification of 'Beacon' POIs

We have decided to remove the 'Beacon' POI category.

The category were a remnant from the earliest day of the mapping project, where certain systems were marked and measured in order to help with navigation. With new and better map tools the use of these systems became obsolete. For some time we have used the category to signify other systems of special importance, but with the introduction of actual navigation beacons to the game, as well as beacons marking tourist locations, the POI category was becomming counter-intuitive.

So we have removed the category and reclassified the POIs as follows:

Galactic Limits -> Historical
- Semotus Beacon
- Eriksons Star
- Amundsens Star
- Sepositus Beacon
- Magellans Star

Meridians -> Other POI
- Asterous
- Notus
- Manifest Destiny
- Pernicious

Special cases
Sagittarius A* -> Historical
Sol -> Historical
Barnards Loop -> Nebula
