sorry yeah i should have made myself clearer, the recordings from the steam ive linked to.
looks like you had what ive been experiencing and many others i guess, in terms of fps drops and hyper jump crashes etc. The anaconda looked naughty lol
Aye
FPS Droppage:
FPS drops
in my opinion and
from my observations seem to coincide with my network upload rate getting saturated (beyond its capacity). It seems that ED is putting out a lot more data (relative to the number of other players ships and actions and relevant objects that are tracked (NPC ships, cargo containers etc. and perhaps other unseen elements - like when the two Impeccables appear and get their thing on at times). The mass test I was taking part in here really highlighted this as being the case. With 'normal' play (i.e without the 15+ commanders we had around, and all the other 'stuff' in one area) I don't typically get this problem.
Hyperspace jump crashes / Spontaneous exploding:
Very infrequent, and I for one find difficult to replicate (as I was trying to do in my last section of video from that same night).
IN fact in this instance, I was initially trying to see if I would 'explode' as I had seen happen with Gen Han Solo in front of me just out side the station. Sadly, I didn't explode at the same point or at all in that test. Until that is after I reloaded the game following the crash that coincided with a Hyperspace jump attempt back to the Zelada station. I then followed the same route out toward the planet - then *boom* - But on a third try, again, I managed to exceed the distance without blowing up spontaneously. The Hyperspace Jump crash didn't reoccur for me in these attempts after the first. The crash report that generated and was sent may shed some other light on the why's.
The Anaconda:
This being played with, as is the case in these videos by CMDR Blackley is in of itself to most quite bewildering just how that has been possible to do given its not available to buy by your average bear (tester). Mr Blackleys' findings for the more advanced in knowledge of all things - we'll call it the 'black-arts' for the sake of sanity - has been (I am no doubt sure) invaluable to FD to plug things up that could allow this down the line and to avoid well before release.
I have to say, to all those concerned, this is obviously Alpha 3.4. Access to this build has been such since, well, nearly a month now. With all the assistance from the testers (alot of their free time), and the mass tests that are being periodically organised by other testers (like this event), can only provide valuable insight/data for FD. In concern with these aspects - they are well documented and therefore known - and the expectation (as with all) they will get better/be eliminated (as a number of very severe bugs had been before this build). So very confident still tbh
I do sincerely look forward to when May 30th comes along and the participation numbers increase and can really put the stress on the game code
