@Rochester I had a thought...the logo might represent the rear of an asteroid station, with the dotted line representing the unseen front. The nearest one to your Underworld bubble, and doing a quick couple of triangulations looks like it was in Jaques path out of that underworld area, is the one in Otegine....right in the PF district & noob’s permit required! Anyone with a new account want to check it out?

Otegine asteroid base is still being built, and most landing pads are overloaded with scaffolding and such stuff.
It has no definite inner rear - it just sort of fades away into darkness. While there is some occasional light, there seems to be nothing there that matches the logo. There is no outer rear (logically enough.)

I can get some screenshots from Darwin Research Facility (A.O.E. Allied Order of Exemplars) HQ asteroid base. I think there may be some stuff in there that matches the Raxxla logo. I am sadly am about to have to stop as soon as my carrier jumps to the system.

Thanks, but I think its position in the prohibited Pilots Federation noobs area rules it out in any case!

On a similar thing was Octavia Quinton's asteroid base actually ever in game? I visited beacon 500 after reading Drew's amazing books but sadly no physical station.
The in game events were before my time here.

It should be in Suijin (tourist beacon 500).

Any ideas on what the dots represent on the map? If memory serves there is a secondary set nearer the core of the galaxy. I will try to get better screenshots when I play.
If you zoom in close enough you will see they are numbers for each sectorial line, much like a dart board would be my best example off the top of my head and the bulls eye being the region/galaxy cores center although not Sag A* , iv been trying to find a system that's exact center for quite some time i have some possibles explored and bookmarked but it was more difficult than anticipated

Also just to chime separate to my request above regarding the Dark Wheel station...juts a thought and may have been mentioned, the codex states that they are at the 8th moon of an unnamed Gas giant not an unknown one, how relevant that is who knows but means that any system is viable with 8 moons at a gas giant, also want to add on that some very low mass brown dwarf stars could also be classed as a gas giant and is highly debated if this adds some more locations to look at for the DW station as there are a ton of low mass brown dwarfs with 8 or more moons within the bubble

I would caution you against drawing a line at brown dwarfs. In Elite: Dangerous they are a "star" type.

They are numbers counting around that line up with the radial borders of the various galactic regions … i did some work on it a while back

While they are a star type i Agree however the debate in astronomy is low mass ones can be considered as a gas giant which is debated, also if you remember brown dwarfs etc. where supposed to be dark systems we where we would need to manually find and plot, stellar forge made that difficult so they gave them the same input as all other systems, now what if doing so they then added a different mystery around them hence my post ;-)

There are many "star type systems" in Elite that shouldn't be at all or are completely different to real world (Yes im also talking pre 2012-13 discovery's) also lets not forget that and even frontier new this before adding them in, its not perfect they knew this and it was never going to be but in the imperfections could be hidden mystery's, one example is the wolf rayet just a few ly from Sol

I wrote to them earlier about the polar coordinate system. But the translation must have gotten it all wrong.
I always thought that in Elite the basis is the polar coordinate system, in sectors it is already recalculated to the usual one.

Ya ive wondered about it for a while. - it was neat to see a polar map in the codex. But its weird- havent made much of it - like why break it up into 92 slices…especially as it looks like they numbered it wrong…. and why is it off center of Sag A* - spent a while hunting for the actual center - didnt find anything.

Leftover concept artwork from early development?

No no no, you are all getting it wrong, it's actually emblem of the Save Space Party in Orion Nebula Tourist Centre, PMD2009 48.

Raxxla can be found by collecting and recycling all kinds of wreckage components, scrap and escape pods polluting our precious galaxy, following example of the Thargoid race and Etienne Dorn.

Perhaps more obfuscation? Since being convinced by @Rochester ’s graphical analysis of the tight spacing of the “Underworld” region I’ve got interested in the mythology around the Eleusinian mysteries, Demeter and Persephone’s journey into the Underworld. One thing that has struck me is the sheer amount of obfuscation MB put in. There’s the Mars Alien Artefact, that caused me to focus overlong on Sol (which also has station names that fit the toast), there are Persephones all over the place, including a Persephone station in Avalon, etc.

O friend and companion of night, thou who rejoicest in the baying of dogs and spilt blood, who wanderest in the midst of shades among the tombs, who longest for blood and bringest terror to mortals, Gorgo, Mormo, thousand-faced moon, look favourably on our sacrifices!” -

"Satan here held his Babylonish court, and in the blood of stainless childhood the leprous limbs of phosphorescent Lilith were laved. Incubi and succubae howled praise to Hecate, and headless moon-calves bleated to the Magna Mater."

The Horror at Red Hook 1927; By H. P. Lovecraft

This first passage Lovecraft took word for word From Hippolytus’ Refutation of All Heresies, 1868; describes the rituals undertaken by the priests of Hecate.

A very Lovecraftian influence!

Then we have Michael Brookes Elite Legacy which too references Demeter and Persephone (but doesn’t name her)!

Greek mythology was one of Lovecrafts primary influences.
