You can keep it going and watch things like Andromeda or other galaxies, nebula, and the galactic arm swirl around you. I believe I've tried this with Thargoid probes, links, hearts, sensors and trinkets of hidden fortune in my hold. The latter most definitely, but I have taken the other items into the black hole...I can't get passed the exclusion zone with them though and, when jettisoned, they do not go into the black hole. I want to try an Ancient Key and other Guardian items next.

Same here. I think we suffer from ps4-ism.
That sounds like a real hobby! Something to do. Makes you think about meaning in life. I mean, I've been just drinking coffee and watching cat videos on Youtube for the past hour. Maybe some Ancient Greek poetry on Saturday.
I think Mick' is on XB, if not theres a namealike who has killed me in CQC more times than I care to remember. Consoles in general we do accept a lower outcome dont we, 'oh, this probably works on PC' is what i often think.
try GalMap, zoom in on Sol and look around, theres not that many Constellations actually but they should be there, sure Ive seen them on XB but havent looked recently, so an update can always change things. I thought I had to be in Sol but apparently not as long as the GalMap is zoomed in on Sol so youre looking 'out'. Ill try it next time Im on and see if I can replicate.
Got a tad of an anomaly idk if anyone has checked out before. I’m currently in GLUDGOE NC-B C27-31 and out my left window is the bubble nebula. Out my right and behind me is the heart and soul. However, ahead of the heart and soul by a bit is a string of dense luminous stars like the kind of string you see coming through certain nebula like the Orion Neb. However, search as I may there is no nebula there.

I’ve found it!! There’s a big ole string of very luminous stars like B and O class out here. One of them is 2MASS J02341820+6147375. It’s like a line that’s typically associated with a nebula but there is none here. Idk if it’s been searched before. Granted it’s on the way to the FR but one thing I’ve learned out here is the path to the FR isn’t as explored as you may think.

No I'm on ps4, I made the mistake 20+ years ago and bought a Sega saturn instead of the first Playstation and been dedicated Sony customer ever since. There are actually a few filthymicks on ps4. I'm sad I had to put numbers in my name since I'm probably the oldest of them (guessing)

Yes I once did it for about 30 minutes straight. I also do this to various black holes, to see what the different back drops look like. From what I've found it's best in either a Viper III or Clipper (something manueverable in supercruise), as even in my Phantom I bounce/ sling out of the skimming zone and have to double back to find the edge of the exclusion zone. But a Viper III can keep it going the entire time. It does make you dizzy and I suspect I would puke in VR lol.
There is something weird though, which makes me wonder if there's something more to this mechanic. Once you circle the exclusion zone, in supercruise, your throttle becomes touchy. So like if you exit the area and look black at the black hole you'll already be about up to 1Km from it, and where normally you could approach the black hole with you throttle just below the blue zone, at a nice controlled speed, once you've been in the vicinity of it? You can't even set throttle to one bar on your throttle gauge. One bar immediately slings you past it...and you may already be over 1K from it.

A bit disappointed. It's little things like this that would add a great deal to the game if used properly and there was a way for a player to use them, even if it was to get something more from a nearby entity/base/location/crash etc.

I’d like to see what happens if someone becomes an enemy of all the major powers. Seems TDW is against pretty much everyone. I don’t have the fire power to stave off the bounty hunters myself. But I may give it a go.
I still say that since Salome is the only in game CMDR to be a verified member of TDW, and she implored us to be disruptive of the powers that be, if we staged a barricade of the ports of the three major powers perhaps Fedev would see an opportunity and take it and invite us in. Especially with the return of Galnet
I'm sort of heading towards that thinking, and have the fire-power to handle the intercepts.
I just paid off a 3M bounty on my Vette after my last berserk gaming session from a while back, and cashed in 30M of bounties across varied groups at the same time.
First thing will be to ally with NBC, and others directly opposed to TDW in SD. Sort of reverse Operation Less Than Three.
I'm also thinking as a personal journey to complete the Ram Tah Guardian missions, as I suspect there might be soft triggers for getting an invite to qualifying as a 'legendary explorer, adventurer etc'.

I think the same honestly. That or become triple elite (currently double) and verify all discoveries in all sectors. I mean; if being triple elite AND having seen all there is to see (since TDW were formed by elite explorers) doesn’t get TDW’s attention I’m not sure anything will.

A recent hypothesis of mine had me trying all the Guardian artefacts at exclusion zine & barycentre of binary BH. But good luck, you might find Raxxla!
Not in-game to check, but It will likely be either NGC7822 or IC1805 (the Broken Heart nebula, though it’s in the wrong place. iRL its within the Heart neb and the light is blowing the “hole in the heart”). I searched most of the larger stars in both, they are spectacular. NGC7822 lies between the bubble and Heart & Soul, IC1805 lies not far past that. But there are plenty of star clusters in-game that will appear to be in a string (because the astronomical input data is fairly inaccurate on distance from Earth).

It does look very similar to NGC 7822 nebula that i have been known to mention every now and then. I just happen to have some pics on hand from a few varying angles and distances...

thats the one, and the sirens (which are usually bird like at this point) cried a pool of tears that formed some river or something. But in one version they live in a pool (maybe bottomless, maybe = deepest void) and cried over the edge.
