Interesting idea but may need some refinement. That isn't the oldest ship by a long-shot. I believe in-service date was sometime in 3100. The following are known to be older: Viper (approx. 2762), Lakon Spaceways Transporter (Type-6 - pre-2500), Sidewinder Mk I (2982), Python (2700 - discontinued), Krait (3027), Cobra Mk I (2895), Boa (replaced Python - 3017), Lakon Spaceways Asp Mk II (2878), Lakon Spaceways Asp Mk I (unknown), Anaconda (2856), Adder (2914), and it is entirely possible that all Saud Kruger (original company history presently indeterminable) ships predate even Lakon Spaceways (specific origins unknown but linked to Sol) given the universality of Astrogator Console and the organization's ties to Augustus Brenquith.I have an idea, though I think it's silly, but it's interesting:
You can only see RAXXLA in flight on Cobra Mk III.
In Elite 1 we played only Cobra mk3, in the novel Dark Wheel also had it. And I also heard on the forum, I don't remember exactly, but the creator of the game prefers to fly it. I don't know why.Interesting idea but may need some refinement. That isn't the oldest ship by a long-shot. I believe in-service date was sometime in 3100. Apparently, we should possibly be investigating why things connected the Underworld and Oceans are so damned ancient. The Cobra and especially the Cobra Mk III are known to be favored by The Dark Wheel. Perhaps there is a connection.

The "Ancients of Mumu" connection actually gets interesting as it connects to a Mesopotamian God, the Illuminatus! trilogy by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson, and Philippine mythology.
Please tell me Elite Dangerous wasn't partly inspired by that nutcase David Icke and his Illuminati reptile-people. Granted, the first game manual is awfully damn fond of the term humanoid (and stranger still rarely substituted the term human.
Considering that the original game came out with the Dark Wheel Novella in 84 and Icke was doing sports news until 85 it's highly doubtful he was in any way an inspiration behind Raxxla and Raxxlans.Snakes on a spaceship, perhaps
Also, weren't Raxxlans supposed to have been reptilian? If so, maybe that was the snake inspiration.

Sadly, the Reptile-people conspiracy got it's start from comics in 1929 which themselves were heavily influenced by Gnosticism and Theosophy (this plays at least some role in the myths and religious ideas in Elite Dangerous). These ideas seem especially connected with the "Revised Catholic Mission" in Aymiay. These folks apparently run Aymiay, Mars in Sol (the capital of the Federation is Olympic Village, Mars), and Beta Hydri, and thus way well feed into The Dark Wheel myth itself as they seem to connected with the palm tree stations and especially Black Mausoleum.Considering that the original game came out with the Dark Wheel Novella in 84 and Icke was doing sports news until 85 it's highly doubtful he was in any way an inspiration behind Raxxla and Raxxlans.
Michael Barkun, professor of political science at Syracuse University, posits that the idea of a reptilian conspiracy originated in the fiction of Conan the Barbarian creator Robert E. Howard, in his story "The Shadow Kingdom", published in Weird Tales in August 1929.[9] This story drew on theosophical ideas of the "lost worlds" of Atlantis and Lemuria, particularly Helena Blavatsky's The Secret Doctrine written in 1888, with its reference to "'dragon-men' who once had a mighty civilization on a Lemurian continent".[10][11]
Obviously, you need to build a Cobra MK III with exactly 7.0(00) Ly of jump range. Discard all these modern inventions, return to the origin and come back to the truth. Only then will you see the path before you.I have an idea, though I think it's silly, but it's interesting:

Damn no wonder my dedicated Raxxla hunter 'Endeavour' has never found it yet than with 45LY jumpsObviously, you need to build a Cobra MK III with exactly 7.0(00) Ly of jump range. Interesting! Prompted me to have a look at your site. I’ll watch through your Chronicles vids when Ive got time, but I noticed #3 seems to be missing?
Your diagram shows two beacons at top left corner with no associated structures?I liked the idea of looking at the Guardian Beacons - so I compared them with their associated structures (well at least the ones I could find)

Maybe they’re all Raxxla? Perhaps “Raxxla” is the Guardians’ name for a beacon, or a site?
“You don’t know what it is!”
I wormed the copawlot yesterday & was awaiting results. Made him sleep in the kitchen last night & got up early to take him in the garden at 06:30. Was tempted to make myself a bacon butty for breakfast, but decided to keep that treat for tomorrow’s lunch & had healthy porridge instead, with honey & blueberriesYa i dont have data for those two.
just playing with the idea that raxxla is the origin planet for guardians so if we backtrack their spread…. I just keep reading what u wrote as “Raxxla is the guardian name for bacon” - now im hungry
