Mind you don't go conflating different gods (planets) when they aren't the same. Saturn, aka Satan, aka Kronos, aka Old Father Time, aka The Grim Reaper (Death), is not the same deity as the one true Babylonian (pagan) god represented by 666.

Worthy of note is that the sum of all the integers 1 through 36 = 666 (see image)

pagan-amulet.jpg

Then read the rest of the page for more information on the pre-christian origins. Babylonian magic (Solar) square amulets, used for protection from the gods were arranged like a 6x6 (36) sodoku grid puzzle such that both diagonals and each column and row of unique integers summed to 111 with 666 then occulted (hidden in plain sight) in both the x and y axis.

Also worthy of note, but not mentioned on the link above is the Lunar cycle which is between 27.212220817 (draconic) and 29.530588853 (synodic) days although it seems to have escaped the attention of many that if you multiply an average 27.75 days x 24 hours you get 666 hours per Lunar Mo(o)nth, which is a distinctly feminine goddess, and feminine period, except in Judaism where the Moon was considered masculine and named "Sin". (Perhaps the origin of the Solar cult Sun-day worshipers, aka the competition calling the Lunar cult Saturn's-day (Satan's) worshipers "Sinners"?)

This whole Raxxla mystery is relatively tame and nowhere near as lengthy as the origin stories that demonise the antics of the (guilty) planets in our own Solar system but in the end it seems it's "just business", like cable TV slagging online citizen journalists for stealing their audience, reducing their "prophet" share and making them look like fools every time they get caught in their own nefarious deceptions.

Revelations 13:18 is not the only reference to 666 that you'll find if you spend a couple of decades ferreting around in the trail of bodies left in the wake of the various religions (Latin: Religare - To bind, hold back, growth) and I've never seen a "belief" that didn't contain 50% lie, see: "be-LIE-f" ;)

It would appear humans always had their own personal, built in connection to the divine (although nobody taught us how to use it) and it may not be wise to capitulate to the financial demands of any who attempt to convince you they are the gate keeper of exclusive rights to God's mobile number.

Good place to start? Um, search "Morphic Resonance" or have a hunt around for Russel Targ's involvement with psychic spy / remote viewing programs. If you're really keen he just put a movie out called "Third Eye Spies" or try "Men Who Stare At Goats" for another perspective.

Edit: BANNED TED TALK by Rupert Sheldrake (Morphic field)
All my ships are tagged 666 haha, its a pity christianity came along and ruined the old world beliefes.

Sign of the Elite ....
1. And why in the ED for the CQC also give this badge?
2. And the most unclear to me, I heard that the rank of Elite CQC gives access to a system in the main game ... Is it possible to play in the CQC alone (solo mode)?

Dear Raxxla Seekers,

this idea is surely not new. But when I searched for "main menu" or "screen" in this thread I found nothing, so please forgive me for sharing it again.

Ever since I have seen the two icons for Raxxla and The Dark Wheel (TDW) in the codex, I have to think about the two main menu background images for Elite Dangerous and Elite Dangerous Horizons.

The thought that Fdev could have placed those two iconic and ultimate goals right in front of our noses fascinates me. It certainly has changed the way I now look at the login screen.

One shows a golden Coriolis station above what appears to be an earth like planet (Raxxla?) and the other shows a dark (minimally powered) Orbis station in orbit around an icy moon or planet (TDW station?). There is also the SRV on a planet in the foreground. It is clearly far too close to the station, which would only be about 20km away. But of course this is not an ingame image but maybe a creation to give us some clues.

The star type in the Horizons main menu is a white one: O, B, A or maybe F. TDW Orbis station could orbit a moon which has another moon close by (binary or simply very close orbits). Has anyone taken a close look at Shinrarta Dezhra AB 2 h and Shinrarta Dezhra AB 3 h? Where else exists this combination in a star system reasonably close to the bubble (<1000ly)?

And another thought: Considering that Raxxla is probably not too far from the bubble, there is very little chance that its system is still unexplored.
I have never ever seen the coriolis loading screen, must be pc?

I have never ever seen the coriolis loading screen, must be pc?. It definitely used to be shown on PC, as I spent many (happy??) hours fruitlessly searching based on them. The trouble is that FD manipulate their images, so the apparent scales are changed, and colours, and star types....the one of the Dark Orbis over a moon seems to defy the law of gravity.

You’re responding to a post that’s over a year old!

Those start screens used to be shown on my PC. I spent many (happy??) hours fruitlessly searching based on them. My posts will be in this thread.

The trouble is that FD manipulate their images, so the star types, colours, background stars and scales could all be changed, if they ever truly represented something in-game. Of course there is no guarantee that the start screens represent anything at all, could be clues or could just be marketing fluff.

I think they might still be in-game but if so the current start screen overlays them pretty fast.

There were a few of these, as well.

That's interesting.
The Dark Wheel novel was in the time of Elite1, and there were no ring stations. So the interpretation of the Dark Wheel as a station with a ring is already in the ED.
By the way, why stations have different shapes? I used to think it had to do with population size, level of technology, but it turns out that's not the case.

Elite 1 and the TDW novella play out exclusively in Galcop space. Galcop controlled all the stations in their space. They used only two models of stations. The Federation, the Empire and independent systems probably had other models, in the same period.

Close Quarters Combat - so no its only v other players, thats the point, its quick PVP.

To get the Permit you have to get to level 50 and 'reset' back to level 1, long before Elite CQC luckily.

For everyone who is wandering what Raxxla means.
Is is Maltese for rash.

well that explains the unscratchable itch that Raxxla creates and why it keeps bothering us :)

Reset back to 1.. is this in the codex maybe? If not, where can I read up?

No I got the info from other CQC players in other threads and in-game chatting. I've been there once in MC as well but kept my eyes shut to avoid spoilers lol I dont think theres a specific thread about it but theres a CQC forum, start there maybe or ask the question is best I can say. The system description just says Permit Available from CQC holdings iirc no specifics on how to get it. I originally found the system by accident just doing my usual check for Permit Locked in NavPanel and asked around as to how to get it, so dont know if its mentioned anywhere else.

As Mick says its called Prestige in CQC, I think the little symbols next to the player name in CQC waiting screen tell you what Prestige someone is or how many times they have reset from 50 to 1 but dunno what symbol means what or what the process to reset is, I assume its fairly obvious when you get to 50. Also resetting apparently speeds up or increases XP earned, think thats written somewhere in the CQC menu or waiting screen, maybe in tips in loading screen.

I havent checked Codex so not sure about that.

iirc the system has all the ships and modules at 10% discount or similar, so just like Jameson Memorial, but more exclusive than Shin Des as only one way to get the Permit and very small percentage of the playerbase has done it....or ever will probably. I'm 61% Semi-Pro and lvl 37 iirc so still some way to go. I checked on Inara a while back and it seemed to be that no-one below c10K kills in CQC had Elite rank, but checking recently its 20K so either they have upped the requirement, or as I hope, its just that those players have carried on and killed another 10K on top of required.

Sorry gone completely OT.

Whats with Delphi?
I saw rhe Galaxy Rangers live there. The guys from TV.
No guts no glory...
Delphi the system in game (with that faction) was only fairly recently renamed from a proc-gen system. I believe it also now has a station called The Oracle IIRC.

The Omphalos Rift is mentioned in the Codex as part of the myth around Raxxla, being an alien artefact of some sort there. Omphalos is Ancient Greek, and was a religious object that marked the supposed center of the kingdom of the god Zeus, (it also means navel), and was kept at the temple of the Oracle of Delphi. Hence much of the speculation around ancient Greek mythology and Raxxla.

1. Do I understand correctly that the missions from the stranger are from TDW ?
2. Why the limit of the jump in the 2nd and 3rd phase alpha 20 and 50 ? Why is it so ? If you take the core, there can be a lot more systems in circle 20 than in circle 50 on the outskirts.
