Why would a Tuatara be in an Arid pack..?Yes me want the tutassa it's a shame it wasn't in the arid pack
not tuatara, tutassa means tortoise in the planco language, p much the only word i remember cuz it sounds funnyWhy would a Tuatara be in an Arid pack..?
I would be pretty happy with that, and it's plausible.Frontier will troll us with another African antelope like the greater kudu. Basically just a more typical savanna reskin of the nyala lol.
The red deer would have been a seller considering how many people kept asking for it yet we got it for free, I think that as long as it is not a super requested animal but a rather popular one that does not require a new rig it makes sense. A crocodile, a bear, a crane, a flamingo, a tortoise, all are plausible options I thinkI would be pretty happy with that, and it's plausible.
Once again, the anniversary animal is never going to be one that could potentially sell in a DLC. A lot of the presented options in this thread are absurd. The Pallas cat was mentioned. Seriously? It's a very popular, memetic animal. They're not going to give it away for free. Likewise the bush dog or, and this one kind of made me laugh, the Tasmanian devil.
African spurred tortoise I think is in an iffier position. It could go either way. It's popular enough to sell in a DLC but also fairly generic. The Nile crocodile is, IMO, a more plausible reptile, since Frontier loves making crocs but probably knows another DLC slot filled with a croc isn't going to go down very well.
I doubt that. The red deer's 'popularity' was built around the vague deer signage we got in the base game. I'm also not convinced the assets for it didn't already exist somewhere. The red deer would have been a seller
Ah I see lolnot tuatara, tutassa means tortoise in the planco language, p much the only word i remember cuz it sounds funny
I agree with this, the greater kudu I would be cool with too!I would be pretty happy with that, and it's plausible.

Sigh... oh please no... there's so many other choices... and as I recall, the community as a whole were fine with our croc options after we got our fourth... a sixth? Really not necessary...Previously I was pretty sold on the idea that a bear would be our anniversary animal this year, but since I'm feeling pretty confident that we'll get the spectacled bear in the winter DLC this year (well...'confident' is perhaps the wrong word here, more like I see it as a distinct possibility due to the DLC themes so far) I'm leaning towards the Nile crocodile. Frontier clearly loves making crocs (as DLC animals, we've had the Cuvier's dwarf caiman, American alligator, and spectacled caiman, plus the saltwater crocodile and gharial in the base game) but as I said earlier, giving yet another DLC slot to a croc would be a mistake in terms of community feedback. At the same time, the Nile crocodile is popular enough in the community that it warrants including; so there are many factors pushing it into the anniversary spot.
Edit: I should add that I'm trying to look at this objectively since I don't actually want the Nile crocodile (or rather, I want it in as much as I want every animal, but it's not on my wishlist).
- Several base rigs already exist.
- Frontier has (or had?) artists skilled in designing crocodiles.
- The Nile crocodile is at least somewhat popular.
- It isn't an animal that they could reasonably include in a DLC without significant backlash.
It kinda is if you want one from Africa. Out of all the crocs, I'm surprised we got 2 from South America before we got even 1 from Africa, so any African croc will do at this pointSigh... oh please no... there's so many other choices... and as I recall, the community as a whole were fine with our croc options after we got our fourth... a sixth? To be honest, something like this should be considered. It's not uncommon to see mixed animal terrariums, after all, so it'd be great if Frontier actually updated terrariums with this. I'm disappointed that only butterflies get to be mixed. Why not the poison frogs, at the very least? How about a set of poison dart frogs and giving us the ability to mix them together in the exhibits.
