Updated Permit List

I am in the California Nebula, I cannot find any systems requiring permits.

Googling I've found a couple of systems in this sectors that supposedly require permits but all I have checked are visitable.

I'll be leaving tomorrow, if anyone has any specific systems here they want me to verify I can do so, otherwise my current opinion is that Frontier have changed this.

This means a reduced participation from me until a new system permit that can be obtained comes to light. I have obtained all currently obtainable permit at the present time.

I can confirm CMDR EagleEye's today test in V1.3.07 .

Not really, haven't worked on it, but it does appear that 15 LY is the limit that a system permit can be granted for a particular system. That narrows down the field a bit.

If there is a faction that grants a permit to those two places, it does not share a name with the system it resides, and it's within 15 LY.

With the exception of homeworld permits (sol, Achenar) and a few cases where there are rares, why do people want all these permits? I don't see anything in the OP that would drive me to want a permit to 90% of these systems.

Can some of you say why you're trying to get all these permits? Just curious.

Because we anticipate added content for these systems at some point in the future, and we want to be ready to go to these systems on day 1 when it happens. Sometimes community goals happen at these places (Facece being one such example). And of course there are discounts (Alioth, and I hear rumors that there might be some goodies at Sirus now).

Then there's that one time where you are being pursued by a wing of 4 people with wake scanners across multiple systems, and you jump into a permit-locked system that they cant get into. :p

Of course, just because you don't see a benefit listed in the OP doesn't mean that there ISNT ONE. If you find something new, post it here and I'll get around to changing the OP. The OP is the result of the combined efforts of many CMDRs, I just compiled the efforts. As a result, we have over 50 THOUSAND VIEWS, which is phenomenal.

Well I know Summerland is not just the Lord rank. It seems others around have the same issue and that you have to gain rep with the Summerland Patron's Party. Problem is, I can't find anything for them anywhere in the nearby systems.

I'm the OP, can someone provide me a good list of all the new ranks for Empire and Federation? These were based on the wiki when I originally made them, so if they were changed then the OP needs to be updated (this IS the "updated" permit thread after all. :p).
