Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Interesting. Was it an already powered-up base? Something for a mission?

I've never seen those, and never had any commandos pop out of walls, so far.

Shewayish Mining Base at Bangitani System.

Was one of the best runs ever. I must have gotten like 4 suit schemetics, 5 tungsten carbide and 5 Carbon Fibre plus many more loot. Oh, and their power regulator.

The room behind those gray doors are small, like a cubicle. So far I only seen one NPC per room.

Sometime ago, a bought the "Wanderer" suit pack but wasn't able to apply it as a skin. I've been in contact with Support about it being missing from my loadouts despite my account showing having bough it. I'm still talking to them as it looks as if certain skins can only be applied to certain suits, in this case just the flight suit. Hmm...

Aaaanyway. I decided, as I had some ARX knocking about, to try the "Plainsman Peacekeep" on my Maverick suit. Which works just fine.

Was it the same mission (not just system).

e.g. I will see 3 missions for - Power up ABC Base at XYZ.

But the rewards are different. You accept one and the other 2 disappear. Nope, cant stack em.
basically same mission same base. Difference being the size Wonka and status level
cant say atm i turn into 1 of these.

Its a pain!
Grind was always a pain. A voluntary pain, though. Just a reminder.
You don't need a G5 Maverick. No part of the game is "locked" behind a G5 Maverick. Just like you don't need for G5'd iCutter or 10 billion credits.
You can play a game for a year and naturally get all of these along the way. Or you can grind for 2 weeks, get everything, including getting totally disgusted and then spend that year switching between boredom and hating the game. Your choice. ;)

do the same system mission stay up for you, i selected 1 and the whole of that same system mission disappeared.
Sorry for the late reply, I think I understand what you mean.
The mission board showed all factions wanting to power up the same base. I took just one, completed it. Then selected the next. No mission stacking as such. My theory is that the faction bsg needs to calculate the progress.
I can stack surface poi scavenging mission. 👍

Nooo, I need a G10 maverick if there was one.

Now on a serious note, I been thinking. I am a crappy FPS player and when my mercenary rank is at Defenceless, all the NPCs and commandoes are of course Harmless rank. But these 'Harmless' opponents are already straining my G3 equipment. I have nightmares about how much harder it will become after a couple of promotions.

Greetings!

I revisited one of the highest systems in the Synaisa sector: Synaisa BA-A G2, 2922 LY above the galactic plane. I landed on one of the planets:

After this, I visited more systems. In one of them, there are 62 bodies and the body that is the nearest to the entry point is a black hole. I took shots of both the outside of the hole, before hitting the exclusion zone:

and inside the exclusion zone:

Getting out was the tricky part. One has to be pointing in the right direction to flee the hole. If not, one keeps dropping into the exclusion zone.

In this same system, I found a body with 3 varieties of life forms:

In the high Synaisa sector (2600 LY and up), it's easy to navigate long distances because neutron stars are abundant. I have been able to cover hundreds of light years in just 2 or 3 jumps because of the neutron stars.

You do know that the difference between G3 and G5 is something like 10%, right?
I don't think G5 is some miraculous equip that suddenly makes you invincible. No, you'll just die three seconds later that you would in a G3 suit.

Seriously. I'm not saying "don't bother" - if you're a person who likes everything tip top, suit yourself.
But... if you spent all that time you were grinding for materials training your aim and situational awareness instead... I don't know. Maybe it would prolong your life on the battlefield by more than 10%. :)

It doesn't seem to work like that, at least for me. The level of the enemies seems to be mostly related to the threat number, but with some kind of range. At threat 3 I only see 1 stripe max. On foot soldiers do have Harmless/Mostly Harmless etc when you scan them from the ship, but I think that's their pilot rating. On foot, you can only tell by the stripes on the little icon thingy.

Of course I've only ranked up once to Mostly Defenceless, so that's not a big test sample :) (I spelled Defenceless like in the game, even though my spelling checker is upset with me :p -- darn brits, always messing with the spelling of stuffs).

I have not tried higher level conflict zones, though. They don't offer me anything I need right now.

Welp, had it confirmed. Not all skins can be applied to all suits. It seems to be that if you buy a skin for your flight suit, you cannot apply that to the Artemis, Dominator or Maverick suit.

However, if you buy a skin for, say, your Artemis, you can apply that to the Dominiator and Maverick as well.

Confused yet? :D

EDIT Oh nice. A G3 Manticore Oppressor. Don't need it but I couldn't resist.

I am not sure how the difficulty works (since like you, I am at Mostly Defenceless too) and if it scales up later.

Does the Chevrons show how tough they are? I have seen 1 to 3 chevrons, maybe there are more later.

I just G5'd the maverick. Its a significant enough difference (easier to run while butt tanking and survive when I make a blunder and 5-6 guards start trying to kill me). The G5 gives about 50% more shield and recharge rate (to G3) as well as a big boost in the armour resistance.

Taking a break from foot missions. Going to try and help the CG.

Saving up for some suit skin too. I have a paltry amount of ARX since I only started late last year.
