Can you do much in terms of customisation with the fighter? Like weapons or engineering? The Python is my favourite ship at the moment. I keep buying the Krait II, kitting it out and then selling it. Not sure what it is about the Krait, horses for courses, I suppose.
You can buy it paint skins for Arx and apply any Decals engine colours and weapon colours you already have for your ships but that is it.Can you do much in terms of customisation with the fighter? Like weapons or engineering?
Oh I remember that last part. I just realised the Keelback has a fighter option so I must've been looking at them. You can buy it paint skins for Arx and apply any Decals engine colours and weapon colours you already have for your ships but that is it.
There are variants of each fighter with different weapon and utility options which you chose from when you purchase your hanger.
I don't do much other than turn in all my influence missions in Harma system, I do it in solo mode because everyone like itJust out of curiosity...
What are you guys "working" on at present?
I've just hauled my sorry behind to
Seos (yay, I got learnec in scooping) so I can hop back and forth to
Sothis for Sirius Corp faction.
I'm just interested so it gives me ideas for future ventures.

(although I now prefet "The Rimmer" - @@@O - brilliant)
Krait phantom is a cold smuggling ship with good capacity. Krait mk2 best all round fighter with hull and shield, engineered weapons, or everything.I've been going down the ship wiki rabbit hole after checking out the Python at a shipyward. I think I'd like a nice medium multi-role ship which is good in combat and pretty fast. Python, Krait II, or Krait Phantom? I'm leaning heavily towards the Krait II. It seems to be an all-round upgrade option for the Cobra in terms of multi-crew and module options. For when I'm not as concerned about manoeuvrability and speed, that is.
Plus I think the Krait II generally looks pretty than than Phantom, inside and out. The Phantom looks like weird squished Enterprise without those stacked engines.
Shinrarta Dezhra has everything, but requires you to be Elite on at least one branch to access.Does anyone know of a good place to find out the highest rated modules a ship can expect to find?
Nice work!Best run yet, 18 missions for a total of 440m.
+1 for Shin if you have at least one elite rank discipline. If not. Ray Gateway in Diaguandri is pretty good.Shinrarta Dezhra has everything, but requires you to be Elite on at least one branch to access.
I Sola Prospect in Brestla has everything, at a (IIRC 10%) surcharge.
Otherwise, look for large population high tech systems - or simply search for the modules you want in EDDB (stations tab, top right is "station sells modules").
Engineering? You?Scratch my last post. After thinking about the fighter some more, I decided I didn't really care about it and went with the python instead. I'll just have to find some juicy missions to fully upgrade it before engineering.
Does anyone know of a good place to find out the highest rated modules a ship can expect to find? I'd rather not wait around to engineer a 6A of something if you can only ever find a 6B, for instance. That seems to happen with certain modules.
Wait, if your engineered core internals stayed but the rest disappeared, that isnt a one button misclick afaik. You have to manually tick the checkbox on the top right to select individual rebuy modules i think.I don't believe it. I had my first rebuy in ages because I was too dumb to bug out and leave the last black box for another instance, but I must of clicked the wrong thing because everything in the Cobra besides core internals were wiped clean. I'll need to wait even longer to engineer the Python because I'd rather do both ships at the same time.
I'm glad it was the core internals which were saved though. I'd almost be starting the game from scratch without those. Plus I think the Keelback does actually have some compatible modules in this case so I won't buy anything until I get back to Yingo.
I use INARA, it has an outfitting section and tells you the nearest station to get what you're looking for.Shinrarta Dezhra has everything, but requires you to be Elite on at least one branch to access.

if your on consoles you'll be able to start a new alt accountI recently completed the Nova Imperium CG, my first CG in ... well, years probably. Now I'm planning to stay in the bubble for a while, at least until Odyssey releases - which for my platform is 'autumn', whatever the FDev definition of 'autumn' turns out to be.
I was thinking about having a fresh start of some kind when Odyssey finally reaches consoles, nothing as drastic as a reset - I don't want to lose my ranks and my ships! So... I've decided to go old school for a while and revert to the good old Cobra MkIII and use just that for as long as I can resist the temptation to use the rest of my fleet.
I am not doing the rescue missions but I developed my rescue ship build working at Thargoid attacked stations out in the Witch Head and later used it for rescues at NMLA attacked stations and had to use heat sinks to deal with overheating in both stations.Anyone else doing the rescue missions?
Did they change some of the burning station mechanics or is there a random or fundamental difference between a burning from human atk/burning from Thargoid atk station?
The last rescue mission which I did was at Li Qing Jao from the NMLA attack. I am using the same ship (stripped out conda no heat sinks) but I remember that at Li Qing Jao, I was not overheating on entry and exit. Now at Arc Hope, I start at near critical heat during the exit/launch and take damage on every exit (and most entries).
Its the same ship, was some game mechanic changed?
