F___! This T10 high waked.... (n) His SLF successfully distracted me... I treat SLF as highest threat so I focused fire on it once I noticed it. This sucker must have charge FSD since then, and high waked shortly after I put my gunz on him again.
Huh? NPCs deploy SLFs now? I never seen em do that.

In other news. This guy is bored. He is just sitting at a crash site stoning away. Not AFK either since his head moved to track me. Probably high on onionhead.

Just as a matter of interest, what is your jump range? Also, what is the class and size of your fuel scoop? Are you aiming to land on planets and you've packed your SRV?

I'm making a huge assumption that you've done a little engineering on your Beagle-bound ship of choice. While not mandatory, it really helps.

Another aid to planning your ship build is "Coriolis" which will let you play around with different modules (and select various engineering) so you can check your rig's performance:

It's handy for creating a link to your build and pasting on these boards so others can see it and advise you should you feel the need.

Jump range is ~30ly.
I've never had issues with fuel scooping or overheating. Haven't needed to use a heat sink since the first day playing.

I think this is pretty much my current build with zero engineering!

....
NPC do launch SLF, they drop my shield fast (not so fast on vette of course, but still great threat to me).

Hmmm, I will consider EDO if I can drag him out and beat him up then take his SRV like in GTA... :devilish: 🤭

Could you give him a few slap in the face? Looks like he got haunted or something, WAKE HIM UP!!!

Well, you sound like you know what you want and are happy with your loadout so I wish you a bon voyage; may you find all sorts of wonderful stuffs on your journey.

Obviously, there are tweaks you could make so if you have any "would you like to know more?" questions, don't hesitate to ask.

I'm now en route back to civilisation - approximately half way. I was hoping to find a great mining ring but found zero metallics.

Overall, it was a pretty average jaunt. Got some first discos - including just one ammonia (terraformable) - but not very many. A few first footfalls. One or two exo codex entries. All in all, a little bit... meh.

So...

I think I'll do a few more on foot missions. Then I'll mine some platinum to fund some tritium purchase - need loads and carrying a full T9 back and forth from a station is quite laborious.

Y'know, there's two QOL things right there that could be implemented. Firstly, a petrol station-like platform that your carrier can sort of dock with that pumps tritium into your coffers. Secondly, and I think I've bleated about this before :D , getting some tubing on the FC that facilitates pumping tritium from your hold to your depot instead of holding your finger down for ages in the transfer screen then donating it from your ship. I suppose this would have to be an owner only option...

Hmm, I dont ever recall seeing NPC SLF even against wing or high threat elite NPCs. Odd.

Oh yes I was very tempted to release an L-6 rocket into his wheels.

People keep saying we need more variety for on foot so maybe once Fleet Carrier interiors are here we can get a range of buckets or bowsers to carry the fuel back and forth.

I have seen them quite a bit, sometimes I have even been in position to see them deploy as you attack the mothership which could lead to legal troubles as some of the fighter pilots weren’t wanted at launch. The joys of random making everyone’s game experience unique.

You know, this is quite and interesting one.

On the one hand, some people will never be happy, no matter how much variety there is. On the other hand, I would like to see more varied "looks" to station concourses (and FC's - perhaps a different layout between each class: Nautilusm, Victory and Fortune) and settlement layouts with more varied building types. Of course, this could also lead to more varied mission types.

But then again, I'm so pathetic at the shooty-pew-pew-on-foot things should stay as they are :D

I must admit, a bit of variation to stations, buildings etc really adds a lot to the game for me.
But, from a Dev perspective, I can see that cost/benefit is gonna be an issue.

Currently cleaning up pirate scum in Wolf random numbers.
Only 122 to go.🤪

What am I up to?

I'm standing in as queue freezing my nadgers off waiting for a COVID booster
Took me three separate visits to get mine:
First time too early,
Second time, didn't have evidence that I'd had the first two jabs,
Third time ok, but they wanted to know that I wasn't pregnant even though I'm a very obvious looking geriatric, bearded 81 year old male !!! 😲 Ridiculous !!! 😡
