What do think is coming to Planet Zoo this month?

Just wanted to get people thought or ideas of what's coming next to Planet Zoo. I'd like to keep this thread fairly realistic of what could actually come to the game. Please if you leave pack ideas, follow Frontier's format. If it's a theme pack, add your plant and building set ideas if you have any. Let's not look over the update as well. Hopefully we getting some game changing mechanic of some sort, such as digging in the previously released Africa Pack.

North America Pack

• Californian Sea Lion
• Cougar
• American Alligator
• Nine-Banded Armadillo
• Axolotl?

North America Animal Pack

• North American River Otter
• Californian Sea Lion
• Cougar
• Rocky Mountain Elk
• Nine-Banded Armadillo/Collard Peccary
• Black-Tailed Prairie Dog
• American Alligator
• Axolotl?

Hopefully a North America animal pack:
Raccoon or Badger
• Californian Sea Lion
• Cougar
• Rocky Mountain Elk or white-tailed Deer
• Nine-Banded Armadillo (I don't want another pig/hog and having one of these guys within my zoo's would be awesome)

• Coati
• Beaver
• Moose
• Any snake for the exhibit animal, but an Axolotl does sound cool so I won't complain if we get these

I love your list! Coatis would awesome and a colubrid like a Kingsnake would be so cool. I am so excited to see what we get!

I personally wouldn't call the digging game changing as it brings absolutely nothing to the game, no new gameplay or problems, and while the "digging" is a cool new animation, once underground the meerkat teleports in a random location. Plus, have you took a close look at their holes? Just a empty black hole, I know that their small but it's still kinda ugly seeing a meerkat appear from a black dot. It reminds me of the animal shed in the Sims 4 Cottage living.

That to me isn't game changing and seems lacking and disappointing compared to the deep driving (which I know can cause glitches but the update is still huge even now)

if it was a normal pack would be:
Moose
California sea lion
Puma/cougar/mountain lion
musk ox
Axolotl

From a animal pack:
Moose
California sea lion
Puma/cougar/mountain lion
musk ox
American Beaver
Roosevelt elk
Mexican Bobcat
Axolotl

North America pack:
  • California Sea Lion : headliner
  • Puma
  • American Alligator
  • Black-Tailed Prairie Dog : im convinced they will be in pack since frontier probable made them alongside meerkats with digging mechanics
  • Alligator Snapping Turtle as exhibit
Theme: generic wooden
Plants: from Everglades and California coast.
Last regional pack ending 1 phase of dlc roadmap.

I feel like it's likely it's North America related. I figure the Moose and Cougar/Mountain Lion are very likely to be included (I can't see how the latter can be left out, honestly). A mix of Sea Lions, American Beavers, American Alligators is also likely. Less likely but still high profile, Arctic Fox, American Black Bear, Wolverine and Prairie Dog. I don't think we'll get all of these of course, just the list I'm thinking they may be pulling from.

If it's not something specifically North American, I'm thinking it's got to be either Europe or some biome or collection that gets the Capybara in. Frontier knows it's highly desired. I feel like Europe is third most likely, with some kind of jungle/forest/rainforest pack as the second most likely release. That could also get us another otter, Red River Hog, Gibbon, Tasmanian Devil, Wombat...the list goes on and on. But I think it would be more logical to get North America done first, unless the Cougar and Moose were to show up first in that kind of pack.

I doubt these will be a exhibit animals, have you seen how big they are? They're huge! Compared to the turtles we have at least
Even if they are big, they mostly do nothing and stay in place. Exhibits have 16 square metres of space i want to reminder.

I just think they will be too similar to the Formosan Black Bear. And honesty, I don't like the Himulaion Brown bear because they almost identical to the grizzly bear. And I don't want that again
I dont understand why they added the Himalayan brown bear. I have never used them on purpose.

North America is practically a given. I would bet on a scenery pack with 4+1 animals rather than another animal pack, though something else is of course possible. For reasons that have been discussed in alleged leaks I don't think we're getting a moose and that the roster for a scenery pack would include the cougar, alligator, sea lion, and possibly beaver or prairie dog. It's impossible to predict exhibit animals; the axolotl is a possibility but I'd like to see something representing the eastern half of North America, which currently has literally nothing other than the terrapin. I mentioned the bog turtle but a lot of options could work--American bullfrog, red salamander, copperhead, corn snake, etc.

What leak!?!

So if you want my predictions, its something like:

Autum aka now:
- Na theme pack:
- Cougar
- Moose
- Californian sealion
- wolverine/beaver

Winter:
- Birds pack:
- Bald eagle
- Snowy Owl
- Kokaburaa
- Scarlet macaw
- Bearded vulture
- White cheeked turako
- bali myna
- greater hornbill

- flying mechanics

Spring:
-Europe theme Pack:
- Alpine ibex
- European/Iberian Lynx
- Red deer
- Red fox

Summer:
-Oceania animal pack:
-Tasmanian devil
- Benettwalaby
- Greater bird of paradise
- Crocodile monitor/tree kangaroo/ echidna
- Cockatoo
- Emu
- Northern island brown kiwi
- Tuatara (exhibit)

Im very confident that this will roughly be what we will be getting next year, even in most of the animals im quite certain, even though especally birds and na could throw some curveballs at us. I expect two themed packs to cap out the continents and two more animal packs, one introducing flying and one adding 2 new flyers. I belive oceania to be the most logical step after the continental dlcs, at its not only an underrepresented region that still kinda fits the continental theme, it also offers a great diversity across the 4 islands in biomes, as well as some very prominent flyers. Anyways, for most of these i have allready explained my reasonings in other thread with far more detail, like my recent thread about how to perfectly balance the animals from arctic biospheres into the eu and na pack, the oceania pack thread and some others a while back, aswell as the mega thread for birds.

If frontier decides to throw me a curveball, so be it, i dont mind i take what ever they give me, but thats what i would deem the most logical dlc for the next year

As far as what i know North America pack is probably going to be last old type dlc ending 1st phase of frontier's roadmap (packs based on new mechanics are ment for december anyway). From next year we will see new way how frontier select animals for their packs. They can still make last regional pack Europe in spring, which would end FY22 for them. This sounds more logical to finish entire globe and then step FY23 with new format.
For me: NA (september) > birds (december) > Europe(spring) > new dlc type(summer)

@KönigDerKaffeebohnen All that sounds wonderful! Add in a free to all Capybara for the two year anniversary and we're set! Not likely given the nothing we got for the one year anniversary, but one can dream. Besides, at this point last year there were so many animals heavily requested. Now outside of Europe and North America and with current game mechanics (no fully marine or flying animals), there's one singular animal that is a clear frontrunner for most wanted. It's ...possible? Maybe? PleaseFrontier! :giggle:
