What do think is coming to Planet Zoo this month?

As far as what i know North America pack is probably going to be last old type dlc ending 1st phase of frontier's roadmap (packs based on new mechanics are ment for december anyway). From next year we will see new way how frontier select animals for their packs. They can still make last regional pack Europe in spring, which would end FY22 for them. This sounds more logical to finish entire globe and then step FY23 with new format.
For me: NA (september) > birds (december) > Europe(spring) > new dlc type(summer)
Don't quote me on this but I don't know if Europe alone will get a full pack--rather, we could get a Eurasian pack which gives us fallow deer but also animals like the Przewalski's horse and Amur leopard.

(And I'd personally prefer a Pallas' cat to a lynx, but I might be in the minority there)

I would love it to be the Rainforest or Jungle pack but I feel that it’s probably going to be NA pack. I know that these animals are needed and wanted but my heart always beats faster for the tropical mammals since I display them as a majority in my every zoo.

My dream pack for now would be:

Capybara
Leopard (Congo or Javan)
Lar Gibbon
Red River hog
Ex: Panther chameleon

with modern zoo tropical architectural elements:

I still belive an eurasian pack would do an disservice to europe. Its not hard for me to make an animal pack, or even 2 for europe, we really dont need to turn it eurasian, especally when many very common zoo animals are from europe, such as the mentioned lynxes, fallow and red deer, red fox, harbor seal, ibex or wild boar.

The trouble being that almost every "iconic" European animal is not only native to Europe. There are four lynx species--one only lives in Spain, one lives across Eurasia, and the other two are North American. The red fox and harbor seal live across the Northern Hemisphere, and the fallow and red deer stretch well into the Eurasian steppe, and I'd be worried about the wild boar taking a pig slot from something more interesting like the red river hog, which is one of the last necessary African mammals. The ibex is a legitimate choice but I honestly would prefer the Barbary ibex (which could have been in the Africa Pack had they gone fully with a North Africa theme and saved the meerkat/rhino/penguin for later) or a Central Asian caprine like the takin or markhor. My ideal for a Eurasian Pack would be something like:

Pallas' cat
Red fox
Fallow deer
Amur leopard
Golden takin
Przewalski's horse
Dalmatian pelican (or insert other large non-aviary bird)
Fire-bellied toad, legless lizard, or European adder as exhibit

But that now isnt an europe pack, is it? Its a northern asia dlc, which is simply not europe, so calling it eurasian is quite the stretch itself

DLC's all well and good, but I want to have some building pieces added in 1.7 update, like those light colored wood plank walls or 2D fonts. If we're having horizontal log building pieces, I want it to be free update addition.

For myself, as I’ve said before, I’d like an 8+1 Eurasia pack, rather than a 4+1+theme Europe-only pack.

this would consist of 1-2 habitat species endemic to Europe, 2-3 endemic to Asia, and 4-5 found on both continents. I don’t think Europe (or Asia) needs another theme… the one I’ve seen suggested most often being Bavarian which IMO wouldn’t be very flexible and can already be done fairly easily with pieces already available. Note for people who do want a Europe pack, that this would result in between 5 and 7 new European species - I.e., MORE than a dedicated Europe pack.

Water fountains would be nice because after all this time it still seems like thirst is always my number 1 guest issue.

I remember one of our resident YouTubers, I think it was Leaf, suggesting the idea of ambassador animals which would involve a new staff type taking specific species like the binturong and lizards and snakes out of their enclosures to a talking spot to let the guests get closer to them. I've been obsessed with the idea ever since. Ideally you'd also want an addition like this to also prop up the DLC, so if we're assuming North America it'd pair best with some of the less popular tossup suggestions such as the raccoon, coatimundi, opossum, or armadillo. Anything that would encourage more small animal additions is a great idea in my book. That said, this feature would naturally pair best with birds, so maybe it's something better suited for release alongside potential aviaries?

I know there are people spreading let's say "rumors" of this being a scenery pack I'm still holding out hope we get an animal pack but I'd be okay with either honestly as long as we get good animals! I predict

Scenery Pack
  • Cougar
  • Moose
  • California Sea Lion
  • Prairie Dog
  • Hellbender

Animal Pack
  • Cougar
  • Moose
  • California Sea Lion
  • Prairie Dog
  • Coyote
  • North American River Otter
  • American Alligator
  • Red Eared Slider

This is honestly the best pack I have seen a community member make. It's perfect!

North American Scenery Pack, which I hope will surprise us more with positivity than the Africa Pack.
I think the Africa pack suffered from feeling incomplete. The animals in it don't really go together in the same zoo area.

I'd say all packs so far suffer from this to an extent, but africa was both worse in this regard, and unlike other packs we already have a ton of african animals so people already made many african areas in zoos (unlike SA or australia). Plus, the theme really didn't fit any animal except the fennec (and scarab), unlike previous packs where the theme fit all animals + preexisting animals.

Depends on the chosen animals. Lets see...

Alpine ibex (EU)
European badger (EU)
Red deer (EU A)
Eurasian lynx (EU A)
Red fox (EU A)
Takin (A)
Przwalski horse (A)
Exhibit

That could work. My main issue is that it really should not be an Asia heavy pack. I think above is a good balance: 2 Europa, 3 Eurasia, 2 Asia.
If it's mostly Asian animals and 1 European animal, it has no business being called Eurasian pack meant to represent Europa as well.

Only the ibex is endemic to Europe in your list I think? I explicitly said that most species would be found in Europe, only 2-3 wouldn’t be in my suggestion. Very few species are endemic to Europe, so any Europe pack will almost certainly include species from Asia.
