Anyway, back to the topic...
One Titan has already been killed, another is quickly on it's way to suffering the same fate of being killed for wanting to defend it's species from genocidal maniacs.
And don't try to pretend that label doesn't apply to humanity, humanity has committed numerous unprovoked attacks against Thargoids, then when the Thargoids showed they were more than capable of defending and retaliating against the attacks, humanity desperately threw out biological weapons against the Thargoid species. The Thargoid species were decimated by this bioweapon and disappeared from known history.
Then they returned 300 years later (I think? Not clear on the timelines), with entirely passive reactions to human pilots. They would merely hyperdict (later shutdown pulse), scan, then go about their business if nothing of interest was found.
And yes I've heard the terrible argument before that "hyperdictions are a hostile act! Using their shutdown field is a hostile act! Scanning us unpermitted is a hostile act!". But I mean... is it really? When you're pulled over by police on the roadside, what happens? The cops 'hyperdict' you (stop your vehicle hopefully politely), 'shutdown' you (ask for the car to be turned off), then 'scan' by asking questions and such.
Every interaction between Thargoids and Humanity has always ended in humanity deciding that they want more and don't care that another race has already claimed that space. As I believe someone in this thread said earlier:
Take the Pleiades nebula for example, when evidence of Thargoid presence was discovered, then their ships were sighted again in the area, did humanity back off as a gesture of goodwill, showing that they didn't mean to invade another species space? No, we doubled down, built occupying settlements in their territory, established military presences over their claimed resources, attacked any thargoids that appeared...
