Winter 2023 DLC Speculation

100% some kind of cooler weather pack, now that the climate idea is off the table with our Autumn pack looking to be Islands/Oceania it means there is more to speculate on.

Even though the climate theory is done, all the packs this year have been primarily warm climate... So for our last animal pack of the year I think we really need some love for the animals from colder climates and I'd personally bet on Highlands or Tundra/Taiga. Temperate is still possible but with the Tassie and Kiwi likely out of the question I think a lot of appeal for some is gone and there is still a lot of colder climate animals that people really want (wolverine, muskox, walrus, markhor, takin, etc) that haven't had a chance to shine yet this year.

How does it feel to know you're almost going to become the forum's undisputed most wanted mammal in less than 24 hours?

It's generally agreed that we're likely to see him next pack. So I'm very ready for Secretary bird to be the new tassie devil that's at the top and we have to wait ages for.
I really hope we so see the wolverine next pack. I keep saying Frontier has to make hard choices one what point they stop putting out content, but I hope so much that point is after we get the Wolverine. Sure there’s others I want but when it comes down to it, the Wolverine is the only mammal I’d be really disappointed if it didnt make it in (assuming we’re getting the tassie soon). I’m even moderately okay with not getting the Spectacled Bear or Tree Kangaroo

I like the "education pack" idea still. Idk if we will see it next pack but I would want scenery, playgrounds, animal - guest interaction, and natural history items. Animal would be ones that fit the bill of interesting people friendly animals that can be ambassador animals irl. I haven't fleshed out my list 100%, so I won't post that.

Cold climate pack imo (animal pack likely)

Wolverine
Walrus
Musk Ox
Arctic hare
American Black Bear
Ermine
Pallas cat
Snowy Owl

Next pack is 100% going to include the wolverine. It will be an animal pack. Top picks for a similar climate would be wolverine, muskox, takin, Pallas cat (not necessarily high on the wishlist, but the 'meme animal' of the pack), gelada (if they ever give us another god damned monkey), raccoon dog (northeast Asia is in the same climate zone as the wolverine), spectacled bear, and a few others. Pretty easy to make a fairly successful pack out of it.

24 hours ago I was expecting a temperate forest pack for 1.15. As it won't be the case I don't know if it's a good idea for me to speculate on the 1.16 that will come in 3 months. But as I'm weak I will still do it.
If it is a mountain pack, then I would go with:
1) Takin
2) Palla's Cat
3) Hamadrys Baboon or Golden Snub Nosed Monkey
4) Spectacled Bear
5) Rocky Mountain Elk
6) Alpine Marmot
7) Wolverine (I guess it could fit this pack)
8) Chinchilla (yeah... no one ever proposed it I think but it originally comes from the Andes mountains so it could fit)

If it is a toundra/taiga mixed pack then I would go with:
1) Walrus
2) Wolverine
3) Musk Ox
4) Takin
5) Palla's cat
I don't know for the remaining spots. I don't know if spectacled bear really fit. I'm lost.

Leaning towards a Highlands Animal Pack considering what's missing so far:
1. Wolverine
2. Goodfellow's or Matschie's Tree-Kangaroo (both species are actually found in cloud forests, so they fit)
3. Hamadryas Baboon or Gelada
4. Markhor
5. Spectacled Bear
6. Pallas's Cat
7. Golden Takin
E. Japanese Giant Salamander (I admit, just a wishful addition, but eh)

No birds cus Frontier can't be bothered to add birds unless they're iconic and we pester them enough. No mountain birds seem to fit that criteria to my knowledge.
