The walkthrough exhibit would have to be more flexible / customisable in terms of size, door and path placement or have different layout versions with distinct animal area and guest area. But I can be patient, I am sure this is step one of many.
I would hope that if walkthrough exhibits become a more regular thing and more appear then they are put into a separate new category from regular exhibit animals like the titan beetle, and bring in baby models for species like the sloth and bat. Would be quite happy not to see grubs and maggots squirming around, but baby sloth clinging to its mum? yes please. And keepers need to do more than just 'turn up' at the exhibit - replenish feeders / water.
Now I come to think of it grooming and what I am going to call 'animal parenting' are not currently animal interactions. I hope that one day this introduced in an update one day. Nit-picking and carrying baby in arms / on back for the apes and koalas, picking the cub by the scruff of the neck and carrying it around for canines and felines. Incessant licking, cuddles, sleeping puppy piles etc.
How about a short walkthrough exhibit that is like walking through a jar of fireflies that lights up when the game switches to night.
