Hi, I played Jurassic Park OP an one thing that decepcionated me was the fact rhat we are not able to play as a dinossour. Please let us fell how good is to play with thoose giant creatures, THIS IS JURASSIC PARK (sorry for my english)

The possibility to be in first person mode and control the dinos. Always wanted to play a game whwre you could control a dino.

Yes, I agree with you man.

What do you think is it usefull setting up the costs in the shops and so on?

It could correlate with park $ income, like if we set the prices higher, less will be bought, lower tourist satisfactory.
Or if set prices low, then more might be bought, higher satisfactory among tourist.
Otherwise, it's too complex to add pricing for everything in shops.

Saurian lets the player play as dinosaur.
But in a park builder game, I doubt we would have the chance to play as one.

Saurian might be a little too hardcore for a lot of people. With only one playable dinosaur that I couldn't really survive with, it definitely was not for me. The Isle was more my speed, and even then it lacked something.

I want to control Jurassic Park dinosaurs. I'll be happy to just play a park builder, but I welcome the ability to control my very own Rexy. Probably won't happen, but one can wish for it.

Stuff I want to see in JWE

There is plenty of stuff that I would love to see in the game and was in JPOG too. Since JPOG was the perfect game for me and one of my all time favorite games I would love to see those features in JWE as well even so it is mainly only small features but they just add up to a greater game for me personally.

Stuff that was in JPOG but didnt seem to be in the game:

# 1. Weather Forecast. Like in JPOG.
# 2. Heat Waves that . Like in JPOG.
# 3. Customer counter and dino counter. I want to be able to see how many customers are right now in my park. And of course I want to see how many dinos are in my park. Just make a little icon somewhere like it used to be in JPOG.
# 4. Being able to open and close the park yourself. I dont want the park to automatically open once you created your first dino. I want to be in control of when this is happening. Like in JPOG you could decide to open your park when you were ready or to close it if there was bad weather coming up.
# 5. When clicking on a dino I want to have a information sheet about each and every dino where it tells you how many kills he got, how old he is etc. Like in JPOG.
# 6. A general date and time system. I want to see like in JPOG which year i started and I want to see it count the days/weeks/months and years like it used to in JPOG.

Just some general stuff that I didnt like about the game so far:

# 1. customers look all the same and they behave kinda stupid. Why do scientist run all over the place with their white dresses? I mean sure, scientists would probably come to a jurassic park but nobody would come dressed up like this. These are normal people as well and they would dress normal clothes like any other human being too.
# 2. As much as I love a good "guided game" I still want to be able to have a sandbox game expirience. Sandbox needs to be in the game. I dont want to keep doing all the missions over and over again if I wanna start over and just do some crazy stuff or play the game the way I want to on whatever Island I want too.

I can't deny how cool it would be if we could play as them, the animations of them are BEYOND RECKONING!

I hope not, being able to control the dinosaurs defeats the purpose of having to house dangerous and chaotic animals. If a Tyrannosaurus escapes, the tension and sense of danger is gone because all the player needs to do is to take control of the dinosaur and walk back into the enclosure.

Instead of trying to make this game into a jack of all trades that would satisfy no one, why not have an entire game that was designed to have playable dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park universe from the start?

I don't think it will satisfy no one; there are a few people out there who want this to be a thing. And even if it would ruin the experience, why not lock this feature up in a "Play as dinosaur mode" or site b.

I mean, this is how I'd wish it would be. I figured this is how everyone imagined it. Playing as a dinosaur in a cage is less than exciting then free roaming as a dinosaur doing dinosaur stuff. That's what I'd want if we had the ability to play as dinosaurs.

I doubt we'll get that in this game, because that is a LOT of programming to do, I imagine. One could hope though, and that's what this topic is for lol.

I think that too, I think the team should polish and add more in the park building aspect, and then focus on more gameplay features. Other than that I do hope this will make it in sooner or later, it might get others interested in this game.

My other issue with the “playable dinosaurs” is that it would take the developer's attention from more important things to do with JW:E; such as adding more dinosaurs, creating pterosaurs and marine reptiles, a few additional hybrids, more attractions and amenities, and general bug fixing.

You can never have enough dinosaurs. If dinosaur controlling becomes a thing, it would likely be in the form of a massive post launch update down the road, definitely not on the table yet.

Now to take down a bit of the discussion to keep things relevant to the topic, aquariums. It's one thing to talk about wanting marine reptiles, but we need to also wish for the fundamentals of having them: detailed aquariums that are reminiscent of those we see today. Imagine a thick glass tunnel that goes under the aquarium, you're viewing it from the 3rd person perspective of a park goer and a Plesiosaurus glides above them. That right there is something special.

no offence, but this is the wishlist thread and not a thread for ongoing discussions on a single thing. I suggest making a new topic for the things you do want to discuss with others.

so, to get back on topic I will add another thing I'd want to see in the game: selling dinosaurs.
1. The option to sell your dinosaurs in case you really need money. Most likely for a smaller amount than what you paid for it's creation, but either way should be fine.
2. Price fluctating based on the amount of prestige a dinosaur has. So you can actually make profit.

I imagine the game will continue to get updates for a very long time, so we may see all of these throughout the years. I don't think however it will take the developers attention though, In most game development companies, developers are divided into groups so they're not all working on the same thing just to avoid tunnel vision.

I suggest we take this to a different thread.

About it, this could be an option the player chooses if he want to control dinossaurs or manage the park like JPOG. In my perspective it would let the game better because the players that dont want to play as dinossaur dont need to play as a dinossaur an that players who want to play will have the possibility

This is possible.
In one of the gameplay videos, there was a dead dinosaur.
It said it could be sold, the fossils or something.

DLC: Be able to be the Dinosaurs and Humans....Site B Free Mode....

I know it sounds like its not going to happen,.... but I had the JPOG game in 2003 I had this as a kid and I loved it. It had Site B and you could let you dinosaurs loss and have unlimited park building...But you could never be the dinosaurs! I wanted to be the Rex so badly, Now that its 2018, Even if it was a DLC To make it were you could take control not only of your park but dinosaurs and humans. I'd love it. There a example (Jurassic World Lego has it were you can be a dinosaur and humans) So why not this one? Also there has not been a JP or JW game yet to be able to do this all the way.......So as a fan of the games and movies.....(My Childhood Dream) For Me its not only a thing I hope that happens....But its my childhood dream and I would get it even if its DLC. 1- it does not have to be in story mode, so the management of the game stays as it should be. 2- If its not site B then I would not mind it become a island you unlock, or buy in the future. 3- I think of a tycoon game should have the option to unlock a all you can control mode, (Humans, to building unlimited money, to Dinosaurs and etc....heck maybe even control the goat to see how long you can survive the dinosaur, just for the fun of it) Point is people don't have to have it...but it would be nice with it being 2018 that it could be a possibility...(Still I Hope)

I am glad to see a dedicated company such as Frontier take JP/JW into new heights, thank you!

My request has been mentioned somewhat before but i put it down anyway.

1: Be able to separate some buildings from "guests", I would like to have an area away from the guests where i build Power Plant and some other Non-Guest-visiting buildings, but still be able to connect with road.
# Maybe a new fence just to separate guests from Park Staff grounds, or a "sign" the guests wont pass?

2: Of course be able to begin with park Closed! or at least have the option to Open/Close park, would also be nice to just have one button to close all facilities in the park.

3: Sandbox =)

I wish you all the best of luck and best regards

Elaborate raptor skins

Title says it all, I want green tiger striped with a white strip running from its eye to its tail wit red highlights around the eye crest, similar to the jp3 type skins. All different types of stripes and patterns. The mottled look from Jurassic world seems too bland for me. There should also be a skin with the “bird” eyes from jp3. Go crazy, give us something to show off

Security DLC

I've skimmed through the Wishlist and found some interesting ideas; By combining with some of my owns, here is a rudimentary list:-

Ground ACU / Park Guards

- Specialized ground units, prioritized to keep visitors safe; deals with emergency first-hand.

- Constantly patrolling the park: watching for possible breakouts, observing and recording for suspicious
dinosaurs behaviors, acts accordingly.

- In cases of emergency, their main functions are to guard the area, facilitates evacuation through: Medical aides to the injured, organizing the escape route, slowing down charging/rampaging Dinos.

- If emergency alarm/state is declared (can have multiple levels), more of these units are scrambled out, along with more vehicles (can be configured) such as:-

Trucks - as ambulance and transporting units
Chopper and smaller jeeps - for Search and Rescue Operation (providing that tourists can get panic and lost in the mess)
Bikes - For luring dinosaur away to designated areas / dealing with agile smaller dinosaurs such as the Raptors.

- Equipped with various non-lethal weapons (can be configured) and Equipments: -

Flares - For luring purposes or light up the dark
Electric Guns, Netting - For slowing down advancing Dinos
Tear Gas - Making a specific area inhabitable, invisible
First Aid Kit - For medical aid to injured visitors
Fire Extinguisher - Dealing with spreading fire of damaged buildings/forests
Night Vision - Better adapt to night, forest environment, cave areas.
Torch Light/ Mast Light - To light the areas up in night

- The effectiveness of the vehicles, equipments, non-lethal weapons varies from Dino to Dino. One should adjust, equip, and train the units accordingly to specific missions.

Vulnerability of ALL security forces (Jeep, Chopper, Vehicles, Ground Units)

- Please Frontier...please stick to the original game plan - the announcement trailer!!! I guarantee it worth the hard work

- Ground vehicles can be damaged through charging (In a dev interview, I remembered Andrew said that dinosaurs can charge a vehicle away from its physical path). Just make sure that there is a vehicle damage meter that will eventually lead to destruction - exposing the passengers afterward.

- Chopper - Vulnerable to weather conditions (including low visibility with fog) and aerial attack (perhaps by future aviary creatures)

- Ground Units - as sclaimed by almost all of us - they can be killed. Moreover, the repair, maintenance, gate opening, feeding mechanisms must take time and must be made vulnerable throughout the process.

Fences and Paddock-Enclosure

- Fences can be manually configured to have:-

Different Heights - to accommodate possible jumpers (Raptors ramping through slopes etc), and crawlers (I-Rex)
Different Voltage Strength in different areas - Lower voltage to save power consumption, lowers its vulnerability in thunder storms.
Density - Viewability VS Security

- Fences must be serviced/maintained regularly

- Wall can be constructed as an alternative - serve as a paddock for Dinosaurs' privacy or for better security purposes (in areas vulnerable to storm/breakout etc) or for training purposes

Consequences of Casualties

- For visitor casualties, serious lawsuits must be in place and its function must be exponential in short terms.

- For worker casualties, as brilliantly suggested by Reptar,

Geneticist - Incubation process takes longer
Pilot - Expedition takes longer
Cashiers, Managers - Entertainment business is less effective
Janitor - Park becomes less attractive

Relationship of ACU/Ranger with Dinosaurs

Suggested by Reptar as well,

- Relationship is affected by the actions performed by the human counterpart
- A frequently flying chopper agitates territorial Dinos and scatters herding herbivores.
- Inexperienced/ frequent/ implementations of tranquilization agitates Dinos, making them to be repulsive and better immune later.
- Overdose of medication/tranquilization put the Dinos in harm's way.
- Forceful surveillance of park guards or frequent territorial invasion of rangers agitates them as well.
- Reciprocally, experienced workers will have stronger positive bonds with Dinos.

Alternative Power Sources

- Solar power can serve as battery, backup source in the event of power failure.
- Underground power lines
