Greetings Cmdr -Greetings!
Since the 2 year mark for DSSA Destiny Ascension is about to be reached on 3rd of October, the system it is in would be registered as a Historical POI on EDSM. There are no intentions to remove DSSA Destiny Ascension from the DSSA Initiative. However, there is something I wanted to ask.
I've dedicated some time to visiting non-visited systems (by me) in 50LYs radius, searching for something where I could relocate DSSA Destiny Ascension.
The current designated system for DSSA Destiny Ascension is https://www.edsm.net/en/system/id/30804700/name/Scheau+Blao+TB-A+c28-274
I really want to move to a different location. The system I want to move to is https://www.edsm.net/en/system/id/38775612/name/Scheau+Blao+TB-A+c28-271 - 9.47LYs away from my current designated system.
The main reasons why I want to move to this system is because:
1st - I have discovered it is a GREEN system - all the material for FSD Injections can be found there.
2nd - When you enter the C28-274 and start moving towards Destiny Ascension, the ringed icy planet it is orbiting is placed in such a position, you always collide either with the planet or the rings, due to how close the FC is to the planet, which makes it a problem for the general approach (especially if you're using SC assist). With the new location C28-271, such problems would not exist. There's also the 3.5kLS travel time which I want to cut down to 2.5kLS with the C28-271. There's also the bonus of the beauty which surrounds you which is looking much better than what my current designated system has. I would be orbiting a moon of a ringed Jovian gas giant with a lot of other planets visible from the FC deck. (check screenshots under this message)
The question is, would it be possible to relocate to this new system and then marking it as an EDSM Historic POI? There is really no other reason for me to move there other than what is already stated above.

Carrier Information: | DSSA Destiny Ascension is one of three Deep Space Support Array outposts located in the region of Ryker's Hope. Its purpose is to provide necessary services to all ships passing through the Scheau Blao and neighbouring sectors of the region. The current system is marked GREEN for all materials needed for FSD Injections. The systems with Neutron Stars are just arround the coner, connecting you back to the Neutron Highway very easily and almost immediately. DSSA Destiny Ascension has its own website for more information. DSSA Destiny Ascension is positioned at one of many moons orbiting a ringed Jovian (Class I) Gas Giant. The closest moon is just a couple hundred kilometers away from reaching the ring. It is a perfect place for such an outpost to exist and admire the beauty it surrounds it. The rings within and around the system contain a lot of hotspots for mining opportunities if one wishes to engage in such activities. This outpost also serves as a Deep Space STAR Depot, providing a very large amount of Tritium for passing Fleet Carriers. (The Historical Note should remain as it was) |

I noticed someone on the main forum has discovered a permit locked system on the far side of the galaxy. I'm wondering if its the Praei sector, or if there could be more unknown ones out there?
Those sectors should have been opened years ago as its clear frontier have no plans for them now.![]()
Yep its sounds like it. For a moment there I hoped someone had discovered something new in the galaxy for the first time in years. Still waiting for confirmation, but by the sounds of it its Praei. From the description it's the Praei sector but that hasn't been confirmed by the poster.

Will those permit regions be explorable at some point? Was there ever a reason given by frontier as to why they were closed off?
@Orvidius
Myself and a couple of others have been visiting some of the HIP systems that are listed in the "systems without main stars" csv. I have double checked that the scans I have made are being listed on EDSM as scanned, I am playing in ED Odyssey but the csv even after several weeks is still listing these as being without main stars.
Just had a quick look and that seems to have found the problem.Do you have an example of one specifically? Maybe there's a flaw in the detection logic that I can look for.
EDIT: I just found a pattern matcher that was excluding catalog systems. I'm running a new update.
EDIT 2: Updated spreadsheet posted.
I'll have to check out the latest zero body list when I get back from our winter sun break.Just had a quick look and that seems to have found the problem.
Thank you.

Cartographers note:
These updates to existing POIs that Ibanix has been providing is very helpful for fleshing out the mapping project. Should you encounter any existing POI that lacks image or detailed description, we encourage you to visit the place and provide us with updated images and text. The end goal here would be to have images added to all POI entries on the map. If you can provide the image in 640x320 size and post it directly into this thread, it saves us a lot of trouble when updating the map.

I'm missing the POI in this system: https://www.edsm.net/en_GB/system/id/51403830/name/Dryau+Aec+JF-A+d11
It was part of the DSSA-initiative (#30) and we did our stipulated 2 year of service. The POI was there until this February sometime and then someone seems to have deleted it. Is it possible to get back or was there a change of rules? Not terribly important, but it was nice to occasionally view the visitor list.
