Greater Asia pack is one thing but am I the only one that would find a pack of strictly Japanese animals kind of boring. There’s some good ones on these lists but the majority are underwhelming and a bit out there to include in a pack.

This reference is funny: the raccoon dog is straight up a photo of a raccoon, and the Honshu wolf has been extinct for a long time. Japan is rather threadbare on wildlife, sadly. Not enough for a Japan pack. I’d still love to have Tanuki and Serow though!

I’d say there’s plenty choice for a Japan pack, definitely for a scenery pack at least.

A Japan pack would be pretty great. A selection of Japanese marten, Japanese raccoon dog, Japanese serow, mandarin duck, red squirrel, sika deer, and wild boar would be fairly popular. It adds two highly requested hoofed mammals, arguably the most popular dog, a completely different mustelid and rodent plus our first waterfowl.

Add in potential exhibit animals (I personally want a Japanese rhinoceros bettle) of Japanese giant salamander, it’s a shoot of pack.

Adding in east Asia and there’s potentially wolverines, musk deer, wapiti, golden snub-nosed monkey, various pheasants, capercaillie which would all go down well

I think if we didn't already have animals from there a japan pack would've been awesome. Something like:

Red crowned crane
Japanese macaque
Japanese serow
Tanuki
Japanese rhino beetle (e)

I think Tuesday is a safe bet, after we get the livestream and (presumably) the 1.16 update announcement on Monday.

You understand that in less than 24 hours we have till I assume announcement for update and also also a bit more than 24 hours till special livestream! this weekend passed really fast more than i thought and i'm so happy because tomorrow it's #ChaosTime

But the differences between those two foxes are huge compared with the differences between two penguins. I don't think we will get two penguins back to back.

Am I the only one that noticed the Macaque statues in PZ are gray rather than white?

Hypothetically if we get a mountains scenery pack I'd prefer a Himalayan/Tibetan theme. One thing that I'd like to see from such a pack is Tibetan prayer flags, which could come in both blank (and flexicolor ofc) and patterned varieties (using prints of the animals in the pack). The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo in Indiana does this with prints of some of the animals in its Asia complex (5 minute mark)
