I meant the Reddit thing, but one implies the other so

Remember when Reddit decided that the reason they had all that ridiculous Restoration Hardware was because the employees brought it all in from home?
I preferred the bit where an actual CIG employee claimed the spaceship office door was made by employee's in their own time with driftwood and bottle-tops.
This company is like a Trump campaign. Just when you thought things wouldn't get any more bizarre, they go the extra crappy mile
Some info on the new FM, does not look promising.

Looks like SC will have interdictions.
Sounds familiar?
https://forums.robertsspaceindustri...with-mr-zurovec-and-interdiction-mechanics/p1
I also heard SC will have unicorns
Seriously though, what's with the hate towards interdictions? They make perfect sense in ED universe considering how in-system FSD works, also with recent bug fixes it just works. It is skill based thug of war mechanic...don't see what's wrong here.
Who mentioned hate at all ?
Not you, in that thread though...there is more "unique gameplay" offered...I guess this is FD forums equivalent for armchair game designers![]()
Who mentioned hate at all ?
The new flight mode boxed most of the ships in so they all kind of feel the same for one. So big ships handle the same as small ships, small ships share the same speeds as bigger ships. Ships lost their uniqueness. You should be able to trade in a mustang for a sabre because its a upgrade, etc etc.
On top of all this they reduce the flight speeds. its like two snails duking it out, nothing exciting. PVE I can yawn myself behind a pirate, it will try to move around to avoid my gun fire but its speed and agility is so slow I can unload my rounds 100-0 without missing a beat. Nothing moves fast enough to present a challenge.
in PVP vs. other players its the same, players don't have speeds to escape being fired at so there isn't any real way to avoid rounds. Its basically you do a slow charge at one another and exchange shots. Winner goes to who has more armor / weapons.
In short they took away everyone's mixed bag of race cars and gave us the sane go carts with a governor on them.
In short CIG watered down the game. THE ONE DAMN THING I THOUGHT STAR CITIZEN WOULD NEVER DO.
Remove gimbal-mounted weapons and the easy mode disappears.
Interesting quote from CIG forums
So they made combat slow and samey. And it seems they struggle to make it stick due of turrets of space approach.
I guess Mike Evans is vindicated....again.
LOL, this
Ok, another read of that thread indicates that while CIG seems to have done it with right idea, either their flight model is untunable or it is extremely nerfed and maybe will be attuned later. Who knows. Only question remains - is what they have done during this year?
You know earlier on we had the whole contrived racist powerplay portraits thing, I found a real example in r/dereksmart obviously they're not criminals, stalkers and the dangerously insane they are just archiving.

Fact that there's openly racist comment doesn't surprise me.
I am surprised it got +3.
They can thank CR for that, for trying to complicate simple things in favor of "fidelity and immersion". LOL.
They can't get the FUNDAMENTAL thing right, but nah...let's shove Star Marine, clothes store, Voyager direct and concept sales down their throats, with a bit of nicely pre-scripted videos.
And you know what - people buy it, so let them have it.
It's only an hour old it'll probably get more.
where's Asp with lulzbuckets when needed?![]()
Hello Artemus
I'm not sure if you understood my question. Let me rephrase, why do you think they haven't implemented more of the economy? As for AUEC you have to put in hours and hours of boring <<USE>> to turn on the relays in order to rent a ship you can only mess around with in your hangar or in swarm/race. You can also earn AUEC in swarm or race but it's even harder, most times the game never ends or people drop because someone is hogging all the kills. The current in game purchase options are using alpha UEC that gets wiped every major release. Its purpose right now is for testing like much else in the alpha. The REC you earn in AC you can use to rent weapons and missiles in the voyager store that can be used in the PU, i believe ships as well can be rented but im not 100% on that. i have org mates that do this all the time so i will ask one of them about the ships.
By definition I do not believe Star Citizen is pay to win being that when the game is released you can earn everything in game. I do see however how thats sounds when you compare a Completionist package to a Aurora starter package.
The way i look at buying ships is paying to skip the grind and if you are apart of a large org that has fleets of different roles with plans to either do large scale fleet battles or exploration then the sooner you get to that content the better in my view. in EVE you would spend alot of time getting to the big ships you wanted and once you got there the real fun started. I personally would like to skip the first part in Star Citizen. It has been said many times from CIG that ships will cost anywhere from 2 times to 10 times the cost they do now when compared to what is cost to buy UEC in the store now.
As far as my flyable ships most of them are in the PU now, the ships I am really looking forward to are the Polaris, BMM, Hull C and B and the Carrack. These wont be in the game for a while but they are the most interesting to me. Myself and some org mates went in on a Idris together but that ship wont be in the PU for a while but its mostly done because it plays a big part in SQ42, last update was they are working on the final missile room.
