I don't have a specific number, but the convoys that are carrying unknown probes have 8 meta alloys in their hold.
I've never had a ua/up in my ship so you could try to get one then put as many MA until it stops damaging your ship?

I really, Really, REALLY hope I am right and that meta-alloys do 'heal' UA damaged systems, otherwise I am going to have to move to another Galaxy (a long time ago, in a Galaxy far, far away!).

Count me in, ill be hunting for and supplying jacques with meta alloys until there are sufficient numbers to counteract tue UA bomb. Do we know roughly how many will be needed?
Also is there anyway we can ensure this doesnt happen again. We need to make sure pirates dont get a foothold in the system. Does it have a black market at present and if so how can we get it shut down?

Hear hear. This would have been much appreciated at any time in the past five weeks.
I’m at work but I was playing around with Coriolis over lunch, I’m gonna swap my Asp’s 5D shields for a 3A and install a 32T cargo rack up there instead. It’s much better than the 8T cargo rack I have in now. Replace the AFMU with a refinery (and fly carefully!), install two medium mining lasers and I’ll be setting off tonight. After I fly down to Maia and fill up on meta alloys of course. Mining will be slower without a collector or prospector but frack it I mined like that for almost a year before drones were a thing, it will be “nostalgic”. And if I get tired of mining the old way I’ll just go hunting barnacles, I’m betting they are in that nebula…
Yes.. it would be kinda nice if miners and explorers helped SEPP in the Dangerous Games tomorrow instead of flying out to Jacquesto do something that does not even have a mechanic (to help the station) ... with no CG or any word from Frontier about what would happen if you wanted to do something for Jacques!

If the first CG is an exploration goal then we can do both! Fly a load of meta alloys out to Jacques, then fly back and sell the data for the CG. Repeat.

that would be great but we don't know what it is till tomorrow.. and well.. from what I have heard, Frontier is not real keen with the idea of an exploration CG for this... but.. yes. This "mission" to Jacques has no game mechanic to actually help the station until Frontier makes a way... sending all the explorers and miners out of the bubble on the day before the Dangerous Games... hurts the pro Exploration groups.
All he has right now is his quinentian still, some hydrogen fuel and bio waste. No beer or tea.

.Welp, seeing how this is a news blurb at Jacques Station right now, stating that the system is ready to expand:
There are two possibilities here:
1. FDev made a mistake setting the system up and it really isn't supposed to be in an expansion state
2. FDev set it up this way on purpose and plans to allow civilization to expand into this nebula
I'm hoping for #2, call me an optimist.
For cryin' out loud... they only have 750 residents! Expansion ain't gonna happen till somebody either starts Making... or importing... more people.

There is and will be time to get in on the Jaque Phenomena ... Let the story fill in a bit and find out what exactly... besides Meta Alloys, we should be taking.

But I'm trying to think a bit more long term in this... The DG is an opportunity we may never get again.
Since it is only three weeks long, I'm giving those weeks of mine to see if we can make a difference and expand the influence Explorers have (which is darn little, it's been said)

I've already given 4 months to something larger then myself... and enjoyed the hellout-of-it. Another three weeks..? Ha... Easy button.
