Thargoid Attacks: Where, When and What you can do about it

And if you do, if you were to limit yourself to killing scouts you can stick to conventional weapons, although as always, engineered weapons & kit help!
You would at least want decontamination limpets though.

Targets this week : Gertrud, HIP 9141 and Nogambe

Li Tzicnii attacked this week

Hydra in Celaeno, also Merope. Not seen recently.

High level NHSS only spotted in HIP 9141, others have been NHSS 3-6.

Eagle Eye targets this week:
EE1 Same as 4
EE2 aries dark region py-r b4-1
* Conn Almeida Landing (INRA)
* Gertrud Walker Ring (mainly Scouts?)
EE3 aries dark region mx-u c2-8
* Hermitage Hollis Gateway (INRA)
* HIP 9141 Karachkina Orbital (NHSS8)
EE4 aries dark region mx-u c2-10
* HIP 15329 Stuart Retreat (INRA)
* Nogambe Bunnell Dock (mainly Scouts)
EE5 not checked
EE6 same as EE3

Systems are saved by kills in the target systems- each kill counts the same, so a Scout is as useful as an Interceptor. Bonds do not matter.

Locations of the Aegis megaships Acropolis and Vanguard.

* NHSS will be found in systems within 10 Ly of target, these are not important.

Thanks Factabulous, for keeping us informed. I'm still loving the Thargoid fight, so this is my go to thread every day/week. The info is awesome and allows me to refine my skills (somewhat lacking) & ships while remaining in the bubble near my other activities. Very much appreciated, thanks again.

btw, I was still at Kareco last night and there were still many NHSS'. I dont think it's within 10yrs of any of the new targets. Is that unusual?

Thanks for the props!

Nhss hanging around isn't unheard of, sometimes FD forget to turn then off. Interesting as I haven't heard reports of that lately

Ok cool. Maybe because there is an attacked Bulk Cargo ship poi there? They do seem to stick around making a good place to pick an Interceptor fight! I'm going to check the one at Decait soon too.

G'day, Where do you get the Eagle Eye reports from. Used to use Cannon site but the USS logging is often out of date.

People (mostly me, others have helped) decode the eagle eye signals every week, and then report them on the canonn site and over here https://canonn.science/codex/eagle-eye-installations/ . I presume you're talking about the canonn axi reports, that's a different department, I mainly do the science ;)

I'm just assuming that FDev has pushed the numbers up to ensure SOME stations are damaged (that's why we're getting 3 targets instead of 2) AXI/The Hive have been getting pretty efficient at saving target systems in previous weeks...and my assumption is they want damaged stations available for gameplay purposes...

We're working on the assumption the new target number is over 5000 but this weeks results will give a better idea as that is just conjecture (FDev never having said anything about numbers required)

Definite:
Heavy Duty on the Hull engineering, and fit decon limpets.

Optional:
Maybe collector limpets so you can stock up on mats from kills (if you don't already have them).

As said above AX turrets will give you easy kills - if you fit 3 you can practice with the remaining gauss (or 2 AX + 2 Gauss). If you are used to fixed then go for it!. No need for Flak launcher yet - that's for swarms/Interceptors.

I wouldn't bother with so much HRP/MRP for scouts, but if it makes you feel safe it won't do any harm ;)

Just drop into some NHSS3/4 to get an idea and you'll see why I suggest Heavy Duty and Decon limpets :)

Just thought I'd follow up, maybe others might find useful too. Followed yours and Conte_Vincero tips and few from Reddit too, and came up with this build which has so far been solid when I've dropped in to NHSS level 3 and 4 plus a few 5's. Having the MC's and beam has been good back up while I practice with the Gauss gun (slowly improving). I made the beam long range, but I'm not sure it's really necessary so might look at oversizing. Otherwise the build is good. In battle I could possibly dump the Guardian FSD booster for AFMU in order to stay out a bit longer.
